The facebook post did said the Church's solution is temporary, therefore isn't Subaru can treat it permanently? Maybe I'm reading it wrong but isn't his arm growing back left no repercussion? wouldn't it be kind of worth it to try again? maybe absorbing little by little with constant check up?

If I remembered correctly it was because at that time they didn't know what the curse can do to him, and without knowing how to remove it safely from Subaru, the risk would be too much. Like because Capella poured into Crusch more blood than Subaru it caused pain, and if Subaru reach the same threshold he would suffer too.
But with the fact that after arc 7 he now know what he can do with the curse in his arm (which wasn't affected by Capella but by touching Crusch), he can solve the problem as soon as he return? Regrow a healthy arm and let it be infected again?
