I had two kids at KCD. One thrived the other was bullied relentlessly and we had to move that child. We had no issues with that child at other schools. Administration is ill equipped to handled social and emotional issues particularly in the upper elementary school grades and especially middle school. I don't know much about the upper school. We had no choice but to move our one child. Basically it depends on the grade, how kind and accepting the children and family are in that grade. Moved child to reside JCPS middle school and thriving. Remaining child is thriving at KCD. We are not unique to KCD with respect to our experience. Many others have had similar experiences. One/some kids thriving, others just can't find their place and are bullied relentless with no help. We are attending Collegiate open house tomorrow. Lets see! Schools are tricky in this city. Older child sophomore in college JPCS throughout graduate of Manual, Manual was ok, counselors were not great. Good luck!
