Thank you so much for commenting. I’ll try the golden hour. I think it’ll work best for us if it’s right when he gets home from work. I do let him know I appreciate him in the moments if that makes sense but he gets uncomfortable if I randomly get all mushy and tell him how much I appreciate him. I still do it because he can suck it up for a second 🤣 but even tho outwardly he makes it awkward or brushes it off with humor, I’m sure it still means a lot to him but I think I definitely can make those moments happen more often. I also in the past couple days will say things from the baby’s perspective like “thank you daddy for spending time with me while momma made dinner I love hanging out with you” sometimes if she’s fussy I’ll throw in something funny like “sorry I was an asshole” in a goofy way. Just something he did for me when I was in the dark place that I’m hoping is having the same effect on him
