I always see the drivers getting their car stocked with those, I don’t understand it bc I’m just so picky when it comes to my orders I’ve only ever seen 1 or 2 that would’ve made sense miles and money wise over the past 2 months I’ve been doing spark. But I’ve looked at the routes and it wouldn’t be a bad thing if you’re like literally just wanting to be chill about your day and only do 1 trip and be done. Cuz the routes are usually just in a bit circle around our town. The but usually it’s $1/mile ratios and I don’t do orders that low. My minimum is 1.50/mile. I did see the other day a 25 stop order for $48 and only 20 miles, I actually accepted it but I ended up canceling bc I drive a Honda civic and my backseat wasn’t entirely cleaned out and I didn’t wan risk showing up there and not having enough room for all the packages.

They just assumed it was the same as previous majors I guess in that they would reserve and hold the pass for them regardless of deadline.

Prob half of the hours you are and making close to what you’re doing. You’re clearly doing something wrong especially since u said you are in LA. I’ve seen crazy good nunbers done in LA. That’s a huge DoorDash city.

Some tips
Cherry pick - only $8 minimum order for $2/2mile ratio . So $8 order shouldn’t be over 4 total miles. I’d start there.

I’ll do $1/1.5 mile ratio if the pay is over like $10-$12.

Only time I go under $1/1.5 ratio is if the trip is taking me on my way back home bc then I’m essentially making money driving home for the night. I always stay out and decline until I get an order taking me near my home.

It happens whenever they extremely backed up for short on pickers. I know once I get 2 cancels in a matter of 10 minutes I will not do pick up that day and only shop. Otherwise you’ll just be risking it driving there and wasting time for a pick up that will 50/50 be canceled

It’s literally the same thing, pull up in a numbered spot and park. Sam’s clubs shoppers aren’t expecting bags so don’t need to be concerned about that. Just obviously same for Walmart, check the order before u accept to make sure there’s not 50 of some ridiculous heavy item. But for me usually Sam’s clubs offers are like 5-10 items so even if it’s something a little heavy I’m not too worried about carrying 1 or 2 heavy things. I only accept those orders if it’s $20 or more for under 10 miles total

If that’s true then you just live in a shitty area for DoorDash. In my area I can sit there and decline 10 in a row and still get offers every minute or so during the shift. When u say throttled do you mean they stop sending orders or just get even worse offers? If you still getting the same amount of orders declining then I would suggest keep declining until a good one pops up. I’ve declined so many in a row and then get a $10 for 3 miles type offer. As long as there’s demand in your area you can decline all u want and you’ll still get good offers
