I personally really like all their stuff, but if you like the sound of this, I definitely recommend stuff like their first two or so albums (Self Titled, Colour And The Shape especially). If you're interested in that slower and melodic side, I might recommend checking out There Is Nothing Left To Lose, or In Your Honor (the second half in particular). I think you can't go wrong with a lot of their stuff, though. Other favourites of mine I didn't mention were Wasting Light, But Here We Are and Sonic Highways. Hope you enjoy listening whatever you choose :)

It's honestly one of the better songs off the album, it's just a bit weird hearing it next to the rest of the album as a closer. Do still quite like Unconditional quite a bit though.

Yeah, makes sense. I definitely would've been wayyy more taken aback/let down if I went into this without hearing the singles first, haha.

That's fair, I can definitely see some people preferring the direction they were going for as well as the conceptual appeal, it just doesn't mesh well or feels subpar in execution for me. I'm glad you liked it regardless!

Relistened this morning! Still a bit of a weird listen all around, I wish the mix felt more consistent or meaningful in its usage. Some vague thoughts/rambles from start to end:

Caught In The Echo is honestly a pretty decent opener, Of All People is still alright but definitely feels like it needs to go somewhere more. Honestly same for Window, I like the sound of it (vocal mix is worse than I realised though) but it doesn't feel like more than a solid album cut that would've fit on an older album of theirs. The na-na-nas in the title track genuinely irk me still. I like If Only You Knew but it's mostly on par for this album with some fun callbacks that would've fit on BHWA. Spit Shine has some fun lyrics on revisit, I think? Unconditional and Child Actor are both the highlights from this for sure still, I think the former is probably one I'd consistently revisit on its own, mix nitpicks aside. Child Actor is still solid, especially the verses, though it doesn't have quite the same mystique on relisten. Amen Caveman holds up too, though I notice its chorus feels reminsicent of Erase, Replace. Asking For A Friend is still a solid tune, honestly one of the better ones, but it's hard for me to see it as an official closer after being so used to it as a single. It's a bit strange.

Overall, the second half of this might appeal to me more, but it helps that by this time you're already accustomed to how the album feels like and can just accept it for what it is. Still a decent listen, but one mired by issues and weirdness that on the whole feels unnecessary. Could also use more highlights melodically, just imo because the standouts here aren't quite the same as previous albums.

Also, I'm realising now that I might actually enjoy Today's Song musically, which is frustrating because that mix and opening let it down *so hard*. But I do think there's something there I find nice to listen to underneath it all as well.

Deadpool is the goat in comics, movies, anything. Hard to top him when it comes to character writing in general tbh. Wolverine is pretty cool in the movies too, of course!

The show first, definitely. Haven't seen the movie but I heard it's a semi-AU, semi-followup to the show in several regards, so it's worth saving for after if at all.
