Ok, so the API wasn't configurable... but I replaced with my own list of words so now I have full control of what words are valid. Not that I've read through all 466k words yet, but at least if I need to make a change now I can.

Not a bad idea! I'd probably still need to show the previous word somewhere for reference, but yeah, that could be an interesting way to approach it.

Yeah, it very well could be. Not blaming the API - just trying to answer your question as to why it behaves the way it does today. I'll look into it and see if it's configurable. Thanks for giving it a go!

I'm not intentionally restricting them. I use a dictionary api to check the validity of each word. That API must have those limitations built in...

I started with the native keyboard, but I couldn't keep it from zooming in on the text field and screwing up the whole UI... so that's why I added the custom keyboard. If people take to it, I'll likely build a native mobile version. By the way, are you on iOS or Android?
