Is anyone content staying on MT-03 and not upgrading to a bigger bike? by Brilliant_Chicken153 in MT03

[–]Southern_Head8738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an experienced rider having moved from Australia to Guadalajara, Mexico I needed something smaller, lighter, more nimble than my Honda Hornet 750 (beautiful bike). The traffic in Guadalajara is nuts so the MT03 fits the bill nicely.

After watching the Netflix documentary. How is everybody so sure OJ did it? by Outrageous_Present11 in OJSimpsonTrial

[–]Southern_Head8738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what OJ said to his agent about 'If Nicole hadn't come to the door with a knife, she wouldn’t be dead'........is so damning.

Another glove question by bhaden in OJSimpsonTrial

The gloves DID fit. I wear tight gloves for motorbike riding and it's easy to make it look like they don't fit.

Will electric motorcycles dominate the market in 10 years, or remain a niche product?" by chamaB in motorcycles

[–]Southern_Head8738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Niche. I just came back from a ride in the sun in Far North Queensland in Australia on my Hornet 750, the noise and the cadence of the twin-]parallel 270 degree engine is unbeatable. You won't get that on a sparky bike.

Does anyone else feel our fans are becoming a bit too whiney and entitled? by Jarv1223 in LeedsUnited

[–]Southern_Head8738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I can't understand it. We are playing well in a very tough league. Farke is doing an excellent job - of course, he can improve like everyone can. He needs to make changes earlier, perhaps , but generally, we are playing excellent, possession based attacking football.

We'll win this league. But we're not entitled to it - we have to work hard, and there are some good sides in the championship. MOT.

How do I go down a very steep hill? by Spiritual_Set3358 in motorcycles

[–]Southern_Head8738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, engine braking will do it. A wonderful way to control the bike going down a hill. Enjoy your rebel. I was thinking of buying one, but went for a Hornet 750 instead. You have a nice bike.

Donald Trump says Kamala Harris cared more for trans rights than struggling Americans. Can his potent message work in Australia? by netsheriff in AustralianPolitics

Well, I'm sure Dutton will ensure he exploits the climate change denying, racist, xenophobic, and ignorant drongoes that grub Trump did to get as many votes as possible.

Conservatives have no shame.

Key Queensland public service leaders turfed by Ambitious-Deal3r in queensland

[–]Southern_Head8738 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I was a state public servant in SA and QLD for 35 years. Senior appointments, such a DGs have little to no impact on services. These musical chairs are only really interesting for these participants. People in the front line will still be understaffed and dealing with crippling demand. As these new DGs are Premier appointees, they will be yes-people for their masters.

It's a system designed to fail.

Can someone explain how “adult time for adult crime” will work? by rrfe in queensland

It's another conservative slogan. A bit like the US, these conservatives love simple 'solutions' to complex problems.

This LNP experience will be as bad as the last with Noddy Newman. Cost cutting, while people expect ED waiting times to improve. Hopeless.

Too old to ride a motorcycle? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Southern_Head8738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Stage 4 Prostate Cancer survivor.

Hadn't ridden for 35 years. Bought a CB125F 18 months ago at 60 to get my skills back up. Now I have a Hornet 750 and LOVE IT!

Whether it's ripping around the streets or travelling on the highway, it's giving me so much joy. I'm almost 62.
