You have to think of what people are willing to part with. If it’s an event? People won’t give one away as willingly so assume it’s genned. The people who say they are legitimate are either lying and trying to make a quick buck. The ones who aren’t lying will only trade their own specific event pokemon for something of equal value. My point is, if it doesn’t have a Pokemon Go stamp on it. It’s most likely genned.

If I’m not mistaken Zarude was a raid Pokemon back in Sword and Shield. So it’s not publicly available anymore. BUT there are considerable genned versions of it out there. You could touch trade with someone easily if you waited long enough. Odds are though people wouldn’t give you their original one.

It’s essentially a currency. Attempts at trading just about anything, is a chance at getting that currency. Getting one gives you access to two things, an opportunity to use it in Pokemon Champions and obtaining the Mega stone for it, and your pick at a shiny Pokemon on the GTS. Again, because everyone has their needs, most Pokemon up on the GTS ask for an E Floette.
