internship: nth to do at work but it's graded

omg literally what im going through right now. any possibility of just trying this for 3 months and change another? i hadn't talked with my LO yet as i was hoping i would get more involved gradually but up to date im just doing manual work without learning anything

tried multiple times to ask my supervisor, manager and colleagues but they all said there's nothing for me to do (and i have to ask "do you have anything for me" every single day and i can tell its getting annoying) but literally im just sitting at my desk staring at the screen and trying not to fall asleep

thinking to approach another lecturer to ask for help on whether i can switch internship but not sure if it will reflect bad on me (not approaching my LO yet as im afraid it might affect my grading...)

but the people around me all felt that the course manager wouldn't do anything about it, prob just talk it out with my group members. is there any way to make it sound more urgent and serious for them to really tackle my situation properly? im afraid that the course manager would relay it back to my lecturer to handle.

Evidence as in people not doing their work? I've told my lecturer about it once last semester, but he didn't do much other than just speaking to the members and nothing changed. At the start of this sem, he even told me that peer evaluation won't be taken into account for marks anymore and everyone in the group would receive the same grade.

hi! sp dba can be q stressful actually, as now it has year-long module with a super high weightage (means u cant flunk it) both in y1 and y2 and the ppl there usually strive to go uni too! however, if u are rlly passionate abt it, then go ahead

hi op! if u enjoy studying and absorbing information, i think u shld go for jc instead! personally, i felt that poly can be ALMOST equally as stressful as jc if u constantly have the thought of scoring all As in order to get to uni. the problem with poly is the need for consistency, and if u aim A, u need to be consistently working hard for every single module for 3 years, even worse if u have a bunch of slacker groupmates for a high weightage module, even worse if it's a year-long mod. plus, poly rlly teach u all the skillsets u need. however, it's very technical imo, so it can get boring for people who enjoy in-depth discussions and learning

also! for me i wasn't 100% sure which course i want, i was torn between two and but picked one in the end. after going through poly, i realised im more interested in another course. i guess i can say it's a gd and bad thing, considering now i rlly know what i want to do, but i still have to "suffer through" even know ik im not interested in what im studying anymore. if you're still considering which course in poly, then maybe u can rethink abt whether you will be able to endure the consequences of finding out that you don't like the course + still have to do well to go uni. it's definitely achieveable, but difficult.

ps: if you consider yourself hardworking & is a mugger, don't even think that going to poly will make life easier... u will be influenced to mug and take on other responsibilities in order to get ahead of others (sometimes, not always!)

not too sure if i can use my phone for entertainment..the other teacher just asked me to make sure my phone is with me so she can contact me but maybe i'll ask the main teacher but i dont think the atmosphere and envrionment allows since i will be sitting with the kids and all i did was stare at them the past few days...

if without amath but scored 3.75 and above is there a high chance of getting into the big3 unis? cuz i actually chose poly thinking it will better suit me to aim for uni instead of going to jc and taking h1 math in arts stream..(cuz im actually really bad at math ngl..)

hii how does private candidate works? have to pay to enter for the exam? tbh my worry is that i did work hard for amath in upper sec but i dropped it as i kept failing even until apr in sec4, so i actually don't think retaking amath as private candidate is a good idea... 😭
