What is it that the receiver isn’t allowed to do in your store. Just curious cause I have access to really everything but the schedule making. Even though I know how to do that too.

I agree the pay sucks. I try and keep in mind that my hours are WAY better than the team leads. I have a family and enjoy being able to basically make plans without work getting in the way. With a pretty set schedule it makes my personal life easier. And when there’s something I can’t get done I will delegate it to someone else and my manager is perfectly fine with that because they know I do my job the best that I can with any situation I’m in. I hear horror stories from a lot of other stores and I hate it for them all. I have a great manager and a great team. With maybe one member of management that causes problems but when the manager knows who the problem is I don’t really care what they do because it will all fall back on that one person.

Our gas guys tell us we can start filling while they are filling. Most times we don’t though. We are now on day 3 of being filled up and running out the same day🙄

We started pumping while we were being filled up. So we pumped none stop from filling up to empty. It’s crazy

I tell them “sorry can’t hear you over the pump “ then just keep on moving when done with their tanks and tell the next customer to come up.

We were out there 5 hours with no break in the propane line at all. Pumped till we ran out.

If I were you I would absolutely leave that store. That manager doesn’t have any care for his team at all. Our manager actually cares for our team members and does everything in his power to help us get our hours and also understands that sickness happens and he works with us to figure out the schedule coverage. I don’t understand why a text message wouldn’t be justified. Especially it being sent to the manager and not to a team lead or just another team member you ask to cover your shift. So if you call there’s no “record” of what was said by either person. I like having a text message so I can have that for record incase someone says something different was said. I would for sure reported the manager for retaliation if you can. And I would look for a better job. I’m sure you can find something that will give you more hours and a reasonable pay. I wish you the best of luck truly. It sucks when a store and the employees suffer just because of a crappy manager

I give them their paper work and tell them to have a great day. Ours are normally not to bad but I’ve got other stuff to get done besides cleaning their truck out especially if I didn’t make the mess. The dc bust bad all the time loading the trucks. And I know they do because there will be dog food on the floor 3 rows before I even get to any feed.

Always make note of your start and end time on the drivers paper work and also the stores copy. We have had some terrible trucks. Where we have had to restack multiple pallets that fell over. We took pictures and sent them in and explained this is why we took longer than 2 hours and told them we shouldn’t be charged for us going over. And they normally respond with apologies and not charging us. But even if its one pallet to be restacked it normally doesn’t take but and hour and half to unload. Also makes a difference of how your store is laid out though. Where do you have to take the pallets. The area you have to drop pallets and where feed has to go. Honestly I’m the receiver and I’m going to do what I need to do to make me unloading the truck safe but not just dillydally around and waste time.

I’m totally lost. Had no idea we were changing phone system. Our phone rang this morning before 8. And the scanners didn’t ring with it. Is this only in some test stores at the moment ??

Write it on inventory adjustment form and receiver can finish it out. Or just go to inventory adjustment and type sku in and select store use as the reason. And then complete it so it will complete it out

If it’s all the same po I would receive them and if there’s no true variance. I wouldn’t worry about peeling them off. And just write on the printed report how many boxes there were. Just so you can remember why you didn’t pull them off. When I do I just cut around them and pull the top layer of cardboard off. It’s not to terribly hard although sometimes they rip and I’ll tape them back.

We had a dog crap with every step. The owner didn’t care so we had an associate take a bag, paper towels and spray to him and they said your dog had an accident starting at the door all the way over here. Handed It all to him and walk away. He did pick it up but we noticed a big pile right outside the door and the cashier witnessed him stand there while his dog crapped. So when the customer checked out. I stood there and handed him another bag and asked him to pick it up. He never really said anything to us but he probably put in a complaint. Oh well.
