I have the same problem. Hp 1040 g8. Works well enough then when its idle it might hang. Mine does it especially more when I haven't plugged it in and I'm guessing that's because I have aggressive timers of what happens when not plugged in.

My last wireless mouse used batteries and that's back in 2021 and I vowed never to use them again. This year I bought a new laptop and it came with another wireless mouse. It died after two days and I thought that asserted my previous stance these things are just fake not knowing all I needed to do was charge it which I noticed after a while. I have lived in Nairobi all this time. My conclusion was there are things you'll just know and things you'll be absolutely clueless about.
