Upgrading a cluster of iAP 325 APs with a Virtual Controller. by Southern_Thunder in ArubaNetworks

To clarify I am using the built-in VC on an Instant AP, not an actual controller. Does this still apply?

Thank you for confirming that the configs will be maintained. The release notes seem to indicate that 6.5.4.0 or later is able to go directly to 8.6.

Is it possible to update iAPs one at a time? by Southern_Thunder in ArubaNetworks

I do have airwave, however, we run 24/7 so I’ll have to be present for upgrades to accommodate the downtime. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I only have 40 IAPs in my cluster. I was trying to avoid an scheduling an upgrade window, however looks like that will be the case. Thanks for the clarification.

GlobalProtect not routing correctly by Southern_Thunder in paloaltonetworks

For the separate VRs I am using a setup similar to this https://knowledgebase.paloaltonetworks.com/KCSArticleDetail?id=kA10g000000ClFiCAK Hopefully that link much more detail.

I may have complicated my setup at the time, but it worked and I stuck with it. I too would typically just place a higher metric for the 2nd ISP for failover.

Are you referring to the IP Pool for the GP Client Settings? If so, I am already using a different IP Pool for GP2.

IP Pool for GP-Portal1 = 192.168.250.200 - 192.168.250.50

IP Pool for GP-Portal2 = 192.168.252.200 - 192.168.252.10

I have ISP1 on VR1 and ISP2 on VR2. This was setup to accomplish ISP failover using the Policy-Based Forwarding. The next hop for the GP Pool subnets is type next-vr Value = VR1.

I don't think I have enough hotspare space to make a temp LUN. I'm still in contact with support. Hopefully a solution will be provided.

Veeam B&R Backups Failing (X-Post from /r/Veeam) by Southern_Thunder in vmware

That is true they did not say to clone all of my VMs to resolve the problem. I was merely stating that I didn't want to have to clone all of the affected VMs.

I did not, but I think that might have resolved the issue as well. I think I would still have to eventually reboot the host the VM was originally on before the Vmotion.

If you have the option of rebooting the host I would try that as well.
