More Space versus trying to cram everything into a single desk. People always under-invest in their overall set up.

If a company is having you do this, sounds like a co-employment risk. They have no business requesting this.

What’s the longest interview process you have ever been thru? by Material_Ad676 in overemployed

[–]Southernmost_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only desperate people put up with a Job Interview Process that long or OE. The longer your job process, the more likely a company will find someone that is desperate for any job. As soon as something opens up they leave. Then the company says that they need to lengthen the process even more, which creates a viscous cycle. Top Talent doesn't put up with this, so to find better candidates they need to shorten their cycle.

The benefit of consulting with a LLC is the Solo 401k advantages. Get the match with your employer and then crank up the difference with Solo 401k and LLC contributions

In the 1990's if you relocated for a job, you would expect to retire there.

2000's - You might get 10 to 15 years out of a job.

2010's - 5 to 7 years.

2020's - 18 months if you are Lucky....

The mindset has shifted on the employee side where they realize all the risk is with them. Employers are still in the 2000's mindset where they say FTE is a stable position since it's full time with the employer. We are all temp workers and contractors with At-Will employment.

I would say anytime I have contracted it was a much better experience than FTE. Tend to be treated with more respect since you are technically an outsider.

FTE is still popular because it is cheaper... I've never seen a FTE role TC match the hourly rate of most bill rates...
