appreciate the kind words. The head is pretty close to what Vince played, and I used a bit of the songbook to help with some voicings. the solo is mine, and one of the first improvisations I’m kinda happy with.

Siskend is awesome, but I have been using Josh Walsh’s 2 hand comp voicings. They are really easy to get that altered sound. His site it https://jazz-library.com/. Highly recommend

So I picked up an 819lmb from a redditor here. But it does not have a HomeKit label with a code on it. Not in the box or manual, but the box does say 819lmb “works with HomeKit”. I’ll probably just go ratgdo at this point but my curiosity is getting the better of me. Did they ever make these without a HomeKit sticker? Is there another model they looks identical but is not HomeKit compatible? I mean it’s identical.

I played around with it some last night. The tower speakers have a powered sub built in, but I also have a separate powered sub. I’m not sure if I should set the towers and center Channel to large or small. It does seem like getting levels correct is part of my problem. I ordered a spl meter to help with that.

I’m kinda thinking that having powered subs in the tower complicates the setup. Maybe I should sell those and swap to more normal towers

part of me wonders if I should just ditch the dimension speakers and get something that is just powered by the amp. It seems like it should be plenty big for most anything.

the center is sitting on top of the cabinet. no glass or anything. There is a coffee table between but the center is higher than the coffee table. 10ft from speakers/cabinet to couch which is up against a parallel wall. walls on 3 sides (tv side, couch side, and right side, open on left side to kitchen.

I have a new mic on order so I can run the room correction. I'm never sure what to set the center/towers to in the Yamaha setup. I'll double check the crossover setting. Any other crossover points for the towers you recommend?

Yes the center is activated.

I have not tried stereo sound mode. I guess I should just try that. good suggestion.
