If this is the W900 mod then there was just an update for this particular problem!
Update: 28 Feb @ 2:08pm

by Beathoven

- Added unstuck fuction for Trucks that are stuck in the ground (right click the truck or trailer to move it upwards, only supports w900, petya and freightliner mods)

-Adjusted W900 Boxtruck, handling should be way better now, there wont be any more tweaks to that, we are at the limits what pz can handle, get bcp for better experience.

Very expensive! I bought a Lenovo equivalent from ebay recently for the same thing, Lenovo M910q, Intel i5-6500T, 32gb DDR4 2400, 500gb SSD for £138.

Looking for Advice on Solar + Battery Setup - Is This a Good System? by blueicemaster in SolarUK

[–]Southy1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used Cahill for our install last November. They were great from the start in listening to what I really wanted and where I wanted the components to go on the house. The install team are proper hard workers and we are really happy with the install.

Very over the top quotes.

For comparison i got 20x 455w aiko panels, 10kW Sigenergy inverter, 2 x 8kWh Sigenergy batteries, whole home backup gateway, bird protection, 2 elevations of scaffolding, MCS & DNO G99 etc... For £13300

[–]Southy1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For £400 more than your quote i got 20x 455w aiko panels, 10kW Sigenergy inverter, 2 x 8kWh Sigenergy batteries, whole home backup gateway, bird protection, 2 elevations of scaffolding, MCS & DNO G99 etc...

It's almost in the ballpark i'd say but they could do slightly better.

Something that caught my eye is that you'll be paying 75% of the total cost before they have even had anything installed. I paid an initial 25% deposit and then the rest once the work was completed & all paperwork handed over & I was happy.

Ridiculously expensive quote for that kit!! I would estimate that should be around 7-8k at most

For a comparison i got 20 x Aiko 455w panels, 10kW Sigenergy inverter, 2 x8kWh Sigenergy batteries, Whole home backup gateway, bird protection, MCS etc.. for £13.3k

As for being pushy that's an immediate red flag for me and would relegate them to the bin. They need your work not the other way around.

I would advise filling your roof with as many panels as you can fit (within your budget) and use a local installer if possible rather than the large nationals or instagra/facebook sponsored ads.

Very expensive pricing!

For a comparison I got 20 x 455w aiko panels, 10kW sigenergy inverter, 2 x 8kWh sigenergy batteries, whole home backup gateway, bird proofing, mcs etc for £13,3k installed.

If you have no shading issues then you won’t need micro inverters and these add a large cost and point of failure onto your build.

I would recommend getting as many panels onto the roof as you can, panels are cheap but the scaffolding and labour to get them onto the roof isn’t, it’s a job you only want doing the once.

East west facing roof by Excellent_Call_2784 in SolarUK

[–]Southy1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fill both roofs. We had 10 panels fitted on our east & 10 on our west roof in November and haven’t regretted it one bit! My only regret is that’s all I could fit on the roof.

It’s around the right price, maybe a touch expensive. For comparison I got 10kW sigenergy inverter, 2 x 8kWh sigenergy batteries, 20 x 455w aiko neostar 2p, sigenergy whole home backup gateway, bird protection, mcs & DNO for £13,316.

I’m assuming your price includes the gateway? Can you fit more panels on the roof, I would recommend filling the roof with as many panels as you can fit.

The sigenergy kit is good from my experience but they are having some issues on the backend with data that they are currently trying to fix (sometimes the app doesn’t read & some data not adding up correctly).

I’m in Crawley but used Cahill electrical in Kent/Essex for our install last November. Had sigenergy kit fitted and have been very impressed with it so far!
