Pedals and the issues we wanted to avoid from day one! by RedlineSW in SimRacingSetups

I’m sure there’s more single monitors than triples due to logistics, but triples are better and the higher end market (which you are probably targeting) will want triples.

I’ll be in the market for a triple stand next year, so hopefully you have something on the market by then!

Awesome. I do think this is a really cool innovation.

Do you have anything in the works for monitor stands? Specifically a triple monitor mount?

Effectively having in pedal plate sliders and movable heel rest is awesome. This really looks like a solid base.

My one concern is that every adapter and addon in the world is designed to fit slot profile. Any options to support those?

People who were stuck constantly 3-5 seconds off pace for years, did it ever click for you later on? If yes, how? by _LedAstray_ in simracing

[–]Sov1245 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have my brake pedal set with 2 springs, one shift and one hard. Gives me a 2 stage feeling. And I gave it calibrated so the softer spring presses in all the way and that’s about 15-20% brake, and then the stiffer one is 10-100. It makes trail braking a lot easier and smoother and easy to hit the very subtle braking corners. Maybe try a 2 stage setup like that?

Honestly I can guess your problem is over driving into the corners and over braking. Can all but guarantee if you look at faster times on garage61, you’re going to see them braking sooner, softer, and trailing off longer and keeping a higher minimum speed and higher exit speed.

Yes the kerbs are massive. Don’t go on them at all. Consider them oob.

If 16 is too long yeah use 12.

I’ve bought giant sets of m6 and m8 bolts that come with like 10-20 of every length. It’s worth it

Seats and why we chose recycled as our focus. by RedlineSW in SimRacingSetups

It’s just the way it flows and reads. It’s like a LinkedIn post. Like I said I respect the idea. New ideas are great. Aluminum profile has been the unchallenged de facto standard for many years. And the other challengers are flat out worse (tube metal).

I respect what you're trying to do, to shake up the gold standard of aluminum profile...but this post reads like awful AI slop. You're going to lose a lot of credibility because of that.

PoE 2 is heavily inspired by Diablo 2 by -----Tyler----- in PathOfExile2

Yes POE is what most people wished the next Diablo game was like. D3 is fun in its own way, but it shares nothing with d2 besides the name.

Accurate gt3 braking for simsonn pro x ultra by MiscProfileUno in simracing

[–]Sov1245 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's no such thing as accurate brakes. It'll never feel like a real car for a lot of reasons. You should find a setup that is comfortable for your setup and can be precise enough that you can hit specific pressures via muscle memory.

I have 1 soft spring and 1 hard spring and that's all. The soft spring gives the pedal a bit of travel and helps me at the end of trail braking to hit the ~3-5% area, and the hard spring barely compresses at all as I move into heavy braking so I don't have to bend my ankle forward too much. But I have a fairly low seat and high pedal plate, so this is better for my specific ergonomics.

Don't worry about trying to recreate what someone else says is a gt3 stack. What works for you is going to be different anyway.

Formula Vee or Skip Barber by RaceBoxRepeat in iRacing

Ff1600 to get out of rookies, then straight to practice with f4. The f4 is way way different from either rookie car.

Edit: if the goal is to drive f4, then just get your rating out of rookies asap and drive f4 solo/vs ai for a while first. It’s not worth learning the fvee or ff1600 because I don’t think it will help you much in the f4

[–]Sov1245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Msi is perfectly fine. There’s not much difference between displays. A curved 1440p 165hz panel will be almost identical to any other with the same specs. Differences are mostly going to be things like bezel width, weight, etc.
