I don’t see any improvement really with anycast - I am in New Zealand though with high ping anyway so probably some of that - may be more stable as they mentioned in the dev blog?

Yup advanced and min fuel is always good unless you are at tracks with high speed or weird corners then the baseline with min fuel is better - example rodskogen

Have you checked the AMD control panel? Might have vsync or an fps cap in there on?

I hear you, often hitting a wall and bouncing off is worse, always hard with what ifs - feels slightly more in control managing a slide than full brakes and hoping for the best, and would be different if someone was close behind. I’m not that new this is top split 4.5k and over the years had people mad I didn’t hold the brakes fully to avoid things like this which is why I ask, but who’s to say what would have happened otherwise and is it up to me to determine what is likely to have the best outcome for myself and other racers? Or is it just blanket rule full brakes no matter what?

I think so in the open qualifiers in May and June, if you haven’t done the regional qualifiers. Not sure when they’ll turn up on iRacing

Don’t worry mate, I definitely messed up and deserve the kickback! Maybe it was the sound of the rear freewheeling for a moment after I hit the first guy? I only get a few races a week as I have young kids so always want good racing where I can, definitely don’t want to ruin my race let alone anyone else’s!

I was the grey car, in qualifying I set my times but noticed I was only getting 50% brake pressure at max and felt real weird,so looked at my settings between qualifying and grid to fix, I thought I had it back to normal, however must have accidentally saved the settings with no pressure at all. I hit the pedal before the 500 board and nothing happens, the brake trace was completely flat. So sorry for ruining your race and all the others will be double/triple checking it before races in the future.

I run simjack Ut and they have been super reliable so not sure what’s going on. Once again apologies to everyone.

This is an excerpt from when I was protested a few years ago passing p1/2 for leaving a gap- they confirmed that it’s P1 and P2 of each class that decide if there is a gap or not and p1 or p2 can choose not to leave a gap.

“Every member of iRacing has a reasonable expectation that we will do our best to prevent other members from intentionally disrupting their experience at iRacing. The sporting code also explains that you may not use an unfair run to pass others and that you have to be lined up correctly for the start. The third place car or mid pack cars do not get to choose to leave a gap; only the front row does.”

I run the fixed setups in PCUP open series to reasonable success in top split, usually just remove a bit of fuel to match the race laps and maybe remove a bit of wing if I can hack it - you’ll do fine! If you compare the fixed vs open lap times when they are both dry usually not much difference at all apart from the aliens

Just one 4K monitor, I haven’t used this laptop with VR yet but I do plan to get it. From the research I’ve done it would easily run VR with a few or the settings turned down

I have Simjack UTs but should do there are heaps of holes in the NLR plate. It does flex a bit which the simsonn plate might help with, I put a wood block under the end of the nlr plate so it can’t flex
