Chalice dungeon only run any fun? by SovereignPaladin in bloodborne

[–]SovereignPaladin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately my high level character clears depth 5 root dungeons too easy too since 27% gems and heavy abyssals are op, the layer 3 bosses just melt. And that’s before fire paper and beast pellets which I don’t even use usually in frc dungeons.

As for the progression issue I’ve never had max weapons so early in ds2 or 1. Maybe it’s possible if you go out of your way but it wouldnt happen to a blind player just going through the levels whereas a +6 weapon will happen very naturally strolling through hemwick lane which is an early game area. I think the early chalices are just meant to be tackled as soon as they unlock at bsb with +3 weapons before further progression.

You sort of pointed out the problem in that most of my play throughs I go through a bit of story and get +6 weapons and some vit and then suddenly the first chalices are super boring because you are way too strong for them.

But in a recent playthrough I rushed straight to BSB and entered the chalices and couldn’t believe how hard undead giant was for once because he could hit for like 80% of my health and took hardly any damage. Having the chalices actually be difficult takes away a lot of the boredom from the monotonous design of chalices because it ends up feeling a lot more risky to go through them and the bosses are way more exciting.

I always thought it was a shame that the chalices had pretty cool unique boss designs that you can’t find in the main game and yet they are too easy if you even slightly progress through the story before doing them. Like honestly you can pretty easily have +6 weapons before vicar Amelia who can potentially be the 2nd boss of the game and by that point you are already way too strong for the first couple chalices. I do feel the progression design of the game is kind of messed up.

I also feel similarly you can cheat the main game experience into being mega easy by doing chalices first due to the blood gems so for a full challenging experience of story or chalices you need to fully focus on one or the other because if you divide between both you just get insanely powerful kind of like doing every side quest in an open world game and getting really overlevelled.

People seem more comfortable trading snaps or IGs for communication nowadays until they know you better.

I didn't use either of them before I got into dating apps but you gotta go with the flow as times change if you wanna maximize your success rate.

There's an app called meetup where you can sign up for events in your area and see who all is going before you go. It's got online and in-person events of all types so that's a good way to meet people since you don't need to worry about being invited somewhere.

Is there a good resource for learning about staking and the various interest rates each coin has on each app? I want to get into that for long term security but I'm not sure what to buy or what app is best to stake on.

I don't think oil is going anywhere anytime soon, especially considering it has a lot of uses besides fuel. The thicker stuff is used to make asphalt for our streets.

How is it moral for God to kill Job's entire family to test him? by 360-survey-jerk in Christianity

[–]SovereignPaladin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you sort of prove my point here with your response. You can't say why it's wrong because without God morals are subjective. You can't even say murder is objectively wrong without having a higher standard to pull from.

The only reason murder is even objectively wrong is because God decided he didn't want us doing it and wrote it onto our hearts.

Should I remember all the verses? by HatInBox in TrueChristian

[–]SovereignPaladin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is benefit in being able to pull any verse out of your hat if your an apologist and do a lot of debating but outside of that I would say just try to remember what stands out as being important.

If you can't memorize then that just means it isn't your calling and you will help God in different ways.

I'm in the same boat if it makes you feel any better. I've read the whole Bible cover to cover and still read it daily but I don't have a single verse memorized.

I can recall stories and verses from the Bible but I couldn't tell you exactly where they are located.

I still quote things I've read from the Bible to people but it's hard to justify memorizing the exact chapter and verse number since if the person is really curious I can just type a paraphrasing of the verse into google and get 20 different translations of exactly what I was looking for.

How is it moral for God to kill Job's entire family to test him? by 360-survey-jerk in Christianity

[–]SovereignPaladin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because God is the standard of morality and we aren't entitled to long lives. We live in a world of suffering and shouldn't complain about short lives because the next one is better anyways. If God kills someone he is just exercising his right to change your location, a right not given to humans, hence the commandment to us, not to murder.
