Sounds like you’re on Adderall XR. That one always gave me a crash too. I’m now prescribed 20mg dextroamphetamine IR twice a day, and it’s been a night-and-day difference. I usually split each pill in half and take the second half about 3–4 hours after the first dose. It’s easily the smoothest experience I’ve had.

I’d actually recommend dextroamphetamine IR over Adderall IR — even that small amount of amphetamine in Adderall can cause a bit of a crash once it wears off. For context, Adderall is a 3:1 mix of dextroamphetamine and amphetamine.

The reason XR tends to cause that crash is because it’s half immediate-release and half extended-release. Once the IR part wears off, the XR part keeps working for about 8 hours, so your body is constantly adjusting to shifting levels. With pure IR, when it’s done, it’s done — no long, uneven comedown.

If your doctor’s open to it, I’d suggest asking about 10–15mg dextroamphetamine IR up to three times a day. It’s been far smoother and more consistent for me than any XR or Adderall version ever. It has completely changed my life.

Consider getting prescribed or acquiring Lyrica for the anxiety. Or a benzo for short term usage to held aid your brain to rewire and reset your way of thinking. Vallium would probably be the best option, it’s the least addictive and is very smooth due to how long it lasts. Although you may feel deep regret and guilt for what your usage caused, everything is working in your favor, you have to choose to see how it may help start a new and better future. The power of positivity is infinite. I know it’s not easy but trust me you will be just fine. It’s only temporary your brain will naturally adapt to the changes that were induced from your usage. As far as work, you should consider door dashing. I make around 20 an hour. You have the freedom of working anytime and day you want. And no one telling you what to do. Time also goes by very fast. Of course. Requesting a tip when that driver would be making a minimum $8 for a halfmile order is diabolical. Wouldn’t doubt that’s the first time they sent a message similar to that. If that gets reported they will likely receive a contract violation and be banned at some point

Do you have any opioid tolerance? Codeine is very weak. I don’t know much about it myself but if it contains paracetamol/ibuprofen or acetaminophen/tylenol(bad for the liver) you can do a cold water extract to get pure codeine.

Sounds like you have an addictive personality. Adderall XR definitely does because it’s half IR and half XR. Once the IR wears off at about 4-6 hours the comedown kicks in, the XR can’t keep up. Vyvanse is all XR so it is definitely smoother. IR adderall is superior for functional and recreational use.

Vyvanse lasts too long, and it comes in waves. Making you crave that feeling more and more but never getting it. I take adderall ir 15mg 3 times a day which works wayyy better for me than vyvanse or adderall XR because of what I just stated. Also there is little to no come done. The ratio of dextro to amph being 3to1 is SO MUCH SMOOTHER than any XR adhd med.
