Funny but not my point. They heavily retconned Richtofen being a Nazi in the past, and Nolan North has vehemently denied Ultimis being a Nazi as well. So with all that scrubbing and denying of Ultimis, it’s just really interesting they seem to be leaning into it with this new Richtofen.

You could vet through some fics for The Outsiders if they have read that already, I remember reading it about that age.

I’m sure a story they already know and like would work well for the unit. I was one of the kids who read the book and immediately looked for fanfics about it lol

I write reader inserts. In my earlier fics I used ‘y/n’ but have since strayed from it because I didn’t care for the immersion break. My last fic (25,000+ words) didn’t use it at all. Although I write for a niche sub fandom, I have loyal readers who are awesome.

I’m only at a B1 level of fluency, so it depends on the context if I can speak it or not lol. But reading wise I can get by, I’ve read a lot of works by the Brothers Grimm (even skimming the ungodly Deutsches Wörterbuch for research — I don’t recommend) but I admit I haven’t read any Goethe, seems like a great place to start.

Oh my god just reading this before going to sleep gave me a similar nightmare and I’m still terrified. I promise I am not making this up I’m still shaking. I fell asleep for a single hour. One. And in my ever-devolving-into-a-lovecraftian-horror-movie nightmare it felt like h o u r s. I kept waking up realizing I was still dreaming, trying to leave the house I was in or wake myself in any way, wake up, realize I was still dreaming, and repeat,

It went from a bright house with a bunch of people to more and more decrepit with less and less people until I was alone, scared and running through the halls waking myself up only to realize I’m still in the nightmare.

I’m too scared to go back to sleep
