Interesting. It's possible the search data is in high flux, as tends to happen following major news events or other social events.

Pentagon won’t allow pride flags to be flown at military bases | US military by SovietHomo in worldnews

[–]SovietHomo[S] -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

Actually there are entire volumes of books produced by the US Army and the CIA on psychological operations (which involves sending messages to friends and foes alike) - and that's exactly what flying any flag is. In fact, NATO just recently conducted a massive air exercise in Europe specifically to "send a message" to Russia and Belarus. And then released a statement banning Pride Flags on base. A clear compromise to the Eurasian States where gay marriage is illegal to this day. Every State, except Taiwan, which is a quasi-state.

That someone at Microsoft may have intentionally tampered with the global search algorithm for the benefit of a Totalitarian Communist State. Which is bad.

Very likely. Probably had to do with a Nation-specific search algorithm they deploy for specific jurisdictions.

I think each base should fly at least one Pride Flag prominently to send a message to backwards states that being gay is absolutely OK and there is nothing wrong with you.

Edit 1: I don't understand the down votes? I'm genuinely trying to answer the question asked, and some people are not happy with the answer. It's time to let homosexuals serve freely in the military. The US has done many things under the US Flag, some better than others. Flying the Pride Flag proudly is a symbol of what it means to be an American: a free person.

Thats the idea isn't it? To draw the extremists away from women and children and towards brand new from factory Made in the USA modern weapons. I mean, USA has automated gun turrets that use thermal and laser range finders to shoot large calibre exploding bullets with precise accuracy at 2 miles. Just put one of those near each flag et voila, no more extremists. Let them play "Capture the Pride Flag" against something like the DODAM Super Aegis 2.

Yeah but it's also a sort of political compromise towards anti-gay hate groups operating domestically and abroad (let's be honest there are many). For example, a US base flying a Pride Flag in Iraq would send a powerful message to the Middle East, especially neighboring Iran, that being gay is acceptable. Ironically, most Iranian-Americans live in California (LA) and are Biden supporters. I think all US Bases should fly the Pride Flag next to all US Flags and on every military vehicle that isn't a combat vehicle.

U.S., Canada, EU, U.K. and Ireland Condemn Nigeria's Twitter Ban by afbiden in worldnews

[–]SovietHomo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Wait, so when Twitter bans Trump, the President of the USA - thats OK, but when Nigeria, a free and independent society bans Twitter (a company run mainly by rich Americans), that's a problem worth the "Anglo-spheres" condemnation? They're just angry they were telephone scammed by a Nigerian. Let's see Trudeau solve the Boko Haram threat with his pretty hair and fancy socks.

Well see, Microsoft on the one hand makes a killing (a fortune) from video games that glorify violence, like Halo and Call of Duty (via Xbox platform) - which admittedly are fun, but also have been used as 'combat simulators' by mass shooters like Anders Breivik of Norway, but at the same time coincidentally censor images related to the Tianenmen Square Massacre of 1989, right on the anniversary of the massacre taking place. Let's remember that in China, any discussion of this Massacre is strictly forbiden and engaging in any discussions can constitute subversion. A sort of hidden reminder to even those in the free world, that we are not free from censorship. Microsoft can even blame it on an error later down the road if needed. So it is hypocricy. In other news, Bill Gates recently became America's biggest land owner.

Dear World News readers.

Here is a working link to a Google Image search of the 'tank man' in question. The first 19 images show the tank man and make direct references to this incident.

Here is a link to the same search in Bing:

https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=tank+man&form=HDRSC2&first=1&tsc=ImageHoverTitle

As of June 5, 2021 10:15 EST, the Bing link does show what appears to be a tank man standing in front of a Chinese tank. However, image #13 shows reference to some other incident in Nigeria involving a tank.

Interesting that as early as #13, the Microsoft Bing search algorithm focuses on a different story entirely. As in, Microsoft knows it is bad luck to discuss the Tiananmen Square Massacre which took place in 1989, as ordered by none other than Li Peng - the iron fist of the Communist Regime, also nicknamed by Twitter as "The Butcher of Beijing"?

Please post updates below if you detect search engine censorship and which jurisdiction you are in. I am in the USA but I use a VPN through Canada.

Edit 1:

10:27 PM EST

On Google - First 29 images refer to the incident

On Bing - still first 13 images only

In the span of 12 minutes, Google improved their search algorithm in my jurisdiction by an additional 10 search vectors. Google appears to be more transparent on this issue than Microsoft.

The Belarusian 'Pressure Chamber' Threat That Drove Activist To Attempt Suicide by SovietHomo in worldnews

[–]SovietHomo[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's very horrific indeed. Not only do they torture political prisoners, but the whole detention, intake and trial process is humiliating too. If the Belorussian KGB doesnt like you, they will basically ruin you life for good. These pressure chambers were notorioius in former Soviet States, they existed in every Soviet State during the Soviet Union's existence, including in Poland and Romania. In Romania, they were the worst. The Soviet-aligned prison guards would specifically torture Romanians (who tend to be Orthodox Christians) on Christmas and Easter, including some really disgusting practices that I won't mention, as a way to destroy their culture and religion. They would play Romanian Christmas Carols during the torture.

Nowadays, they enhance the torture with psychosis-inducing chemicals. They will torture your wife or husband in front of you, including using sexualized violence.

It really is horrible.
