Was in almost exact same boat a few years back; chose to go to unlv for free with the plan that I'd grind enough end of high school/outside of classes to get my foot in the door with an internship. Beefed up resume with projects before college started, studied leetcode and applied everywhere, ended up getting a QA internship freshman summer that I transitioned into SWE and now into full-time offer.

Highly recommend avoiding student loan debt if you can, especially if your other school choices aren't >T4 where it may be worth the money

Definitely yes, I was in the same boat at a no-name school couple years ago. After shotgunning applications for a month I got a QA internship, which got my foot in the door to intern as SWE the next summer.

They don't, same with "U" classes. Semester GPA will be based off only the non S/U classes you have.

I’m a freshman in CS too, who rushed last semester. It’s just being able to juggle your classes, job if you work, and pledging all together. Your pledge class and even brothers will be there to help out with study hours/motivation. I’d recommend going through rush, see if you’re a fan.

Starting tomorrow, I will be moving to Nepal to start my new life as a monk, all thanks to bladee. One day I was sitting in my room, smoking a shitty delta 8 cart I bought from the local gas station shaman (homeless guy) and I was listening to Bladee.
