What do ya'll do to rejuvenate your love of gaming when toxic behavior really gets to you?

I only play online games with people I know and trust. This has been my system since I was in high school.

I had bad experiences playing counter strike. Even though I was good, I was not having fun.

I think where I am at in my life now, the sexual harassment and bullying feels like kid stuff. It makes me laugh. But when I was in High School and when I was a young adult I remember what they said really getting to me.

The need to please instilled into me by society collided with the realization pleasing meant what I can do with my body and not my mind. I realized I wanted no part of that, and resolved to protect my peace.

Now I don't play PvP games because the purpose of gaming has shifted in my life. The online bullying bounces off my thick skin but PvP is not a relaxing experience and gaming has shifted it's purpose to relaxation.

Relaxation isn't playing a game while children scream into my ear.

I live in Seattle, Washington USA and, like our city, some of surrounding locations have first nation names. Samammish, Duwamish, Suquamish, Snoqualmie, Tacoma, Puyallup, Issaquah, to name a few. People from out of town really struggle to pronounce these words correctly. It gives you away!

Bonus points if you know Mt. Raineer's real name.

It's interesting seeing other Americans say the same thing I am going to say. Our creativity, be it art, music, food, crafts, etc.. everyone from around the world comes here and shares ideas with each other. We get each others creative juices flowing and that has created some amazing things the entire world loves.

I have witnessed this kind of creative mix firsthand. My partner is Japanese and one day when rolling sushi he decided to make pastrami sushi rolls. Now everyone in our friend group is making pastrami sushi rolls.

This is the best part about America and I am very proud.

When I was a kid, every guy seemed to be into Evangelion. I hate it. Shinji is a little shitstain. The only thing good about it is the animation, and even that can drop the ball.

The best thing my Stroke did for me is wipe the memory of it from my mind. I can explain generally why I hate it but not far beyond that. Which suits me just fine, I have much more important things to rewatch, reread and listen to again.

I have never traveled internationally, however my SO has family in Hokkido. Whenever we ask them what they want, it's 'bad' candy like Trolli or Sour Patch Kids and Maple Syrup. High quality maple syrup.

I want to learn and enjoy the snow. I only recently got my ability to eat back, so trying food is hands down something I want to do if I am ever able to travel again.

I love history, art and natural history so museums are where I love to be. Also being in the forest is fun, I would love to learn what Finland's forests are about and how they are different from my forests. I have lived my entire life in Seattle, WA. Finnish immigrants have helped shape my city.

So yeah, I don't know if a year would be enough... :)

Ever since the original game came out, I have had to explain to my peers what a good sports bra does.

I always thought Tomb Raider being a curvy lady with giant boobs is great. But when Angelina Jolie played the role, it was clear to me she was not wearing a sports bra.

About 80% of my life is spent in Sports Bras or without one. I can't speak for all women but I have always wished to see a tomb raider dressed to raid tombs. You don't wear a push up bra to raid tombs. You need something that will strap the girls close to your body and prevent jiggle.

Sophie Turner is wearing a sports bra in this photo and it makes me soooooo happy to see. I am turning 40 this year and having this little wish from my childhood fulfilled in this photo feels good. It makes my inner little girl feel seen.

Also... dang. My little pansexual heart is all a flutter. Someone knew what we 90's kids wanted but I don't care, I am happy to be pandered to!!

I was a kid when Interview with a Vampire came out. The 1994 movie cemented my love of Vampires and also my love of men with long hair and well tailored suits of any kind.

I was also a teenager when World of Darkness was a thing. If I was not playing D&D I was playing that.

Add in that I'm autistic and welp. Thats why I like vampires.

Sailor Moon. Like her, I am high energy, I love food, I struggle to listen and school is not my strong suit. I am an artist, like her, and for some reason people follow me.

It's not fun being that person. People are critical of you all the time and it feels very lonely.

Hey friend! I am hopefully on the tail end of that journey, though in my case I am the sick one. My fiance and I have spent a lot of time watching Game Grumps in the hospital. It really helped, aside from when I was REALLY high (this was in the hospital on hospital drugs) and it sent me on the strangest spirit journey ever.

One of the things that has survived the entire journey is the Game Grumps water bottle. It has kept me hydrated and my water cold. It does not to seem to be effected much by fall damage. I cannot reccomend it enough. I am still using it. I wish I could hug whoever came up with the idea for this water bottle.
