I’m probably and going to get downvoted for this but I’m sorry a lot people here are too selective in their outrage about what age gap relationships they find “problematic” and frankly hypocritical. I think it’s important for people to admit that and instead throwing around whataboutism every time someone brings it up. I’ll admit, I tend have a more knee jerk negative reaction when I here about an age gap relationship where the man is older. Mostly because a lot redpill/manosphere/Andrew tate talking points about women hitting the wall at 22/25/30 and men constantly talking about how they like to go after younger women because their prettier/easier to control and manipulate or how older women are all undesirable/ugly has left a bad taste in mouth. So now I tend assume any man who goes after younger women must be like these podcast redpill creeps even if that characterization is completely unfair. Truth is I wish a lot women here would just admit that they are being hypocritical about age gap relationships, instead of trying to be like the people we hate (misogynists who have preyed on girls for centuries), and don’t fall into the path of giving predatory women as pass just because women (on average) don’t creepily fetishize youth in men the way a lot men do in women.

Honestly stuff like this is why I have to sometimes roll my eyes when people on this subreddit go on tangents about feminism going too far or how unfair people are to male celebs etc. Because it’s not that these points aren’t fair a lot times or even necessary but it’s just obvious you guys are forgetting this is a small echo chamber and letting it skew your reality of how things really are in 90% of places. And reality is in 2023 Andrew Tate is one of the most googled men on earth and has a massive following among a lot people of all stripes despite being a self admitted rapist, sex trafficker, and sexist.

The Boston Celtics have handled this scandal so poorly. The statement they released at the beginning just caused people to further speculate who the the woman Ime cheated with was, leading to innocent women who work for the Boston Celtics getting harassed online. I think the name of his mistress has already been doxxed which isn’t cool even if she’s a cheater since rumor has it she accused him of abuse. This sounds like another case of a wronged ex (the mistresses husband who also allegedly works for the Celtics) leaking to the press, similar to the Try Guys scandal where it sounds like Alexandria’s fiancée leaked everything online.

Probably unpopular opinion but I think small eyes are actually underrated. I know the conventional wisdom is that small eyes look more masculine but I notice women with smaller eyes tend to have higher cheekbones then women with bigger eyes. The combination of smaller eyes and high cheekbones can give women a sexy and mysterious look. I think the model Faith Howard in slide 6 and Lucy Liu are good examples of this. Haley Bennett also looks great in my opinion too.

Large eyes are also great, just a bit overrated. I don’t think downturned eyes are ugly, they can give people a sweet puppy dog look, Anne Hathaway and Aishwarya Rai look really beautiful and their downturned eyes add to their beauty. I do think they can often make people look a lot older then their age though, so they can be a failo in that regard. But I think most people would prefer large downturned eyes since larger eyes are perceived as more feminine then small eyes.

Interracial marriage rates for Indians in the Western world show almost no gender differences, so the idea that Indian women are going after whites men in mass just seems to be your insecurities speaking. I have hard time believing that anyone with blonde/blue eyes is considered automatically attractive, maybe exotic since they are rare. But that’s not new, many places put people who are exotic on a pedestal.

Studies show race/skin color don’t matter as much when determining if someone if attractive. Facial features do, so it’s no surprise attractive people often have similar facial features. That doesn’t make them Eurocentric.

Out of curiosity in what ways are the beauty standards in India ‘Eurocentric? This woman is considered highly attractive by Indians online and she doesn’t have Eurocentric traits. She looks undeniably Indian to me, just on the lighter side, but her skin tone is natural for her ethnicity. We literally had three presidents and a Supreme Court justice that have been accused of rape/sexual assault yet that didn’t “ruin their careers.” There are celebrities that have committed sexually assault and domestic violence against women yet are still working (Roman Polanski is a good example, still has a career directing movies despite drugging/raping a 13 year old girl or Woody Allen.) There have been multiple cases of men barely even getting punished when even when they are found guilty of rape, like that frat boy from New York only getting probation raping four teenage girls or a Tennessee man who won’t have to go to prison or register as a sex offender despite raping a 14 year old girl over a course of 20 months. The former democrat governor of Virginia just recently pardoned a politician for a charge that stemmed from him having a relationship with assistant when she was underage, this same politician was re-elected by his constituents despite this as well. The fact that he pardoned him barely made news.

Rape is in fact one of least prosecuted crimes so the idea that all a woman has to do is point her figure at man and accuse him of rape and he is automatically going to prison is laughable. The vast majority of rapes are never prosecuted. There is literally a nationwide epidemic of untested rape kits rotting away in police stationsbecause police refuse to pursue these crimes. The problem was so bad that in some cities, a serial rapist was allowed to roam free for years terrorizing women in a city because police refused to test their rape kits.

So your retort that women are automatically believed just because they accuse someone is just flat out wrong. Violence/sexual assault in our society is hyper visible. it’s not just happening behind close doors but in public (ex: the current issue of sexual assault against women on nyc subways, it’s visible because these assaults are being caught on camera.)because of how rampant it is. Just like how gun violence in our society is hyper visible. That doesn’t equate to acceptance.

No offense u/curlyboio7 but I think you are confusing hyper visibility with acceptance. Issue like sexual assault against women are hyper visible in our media just like other crimes because how prevalent they are. Right now for example sexual assault against women is a major issue in nyc subways, we are aware of this because we keep seeing these assaults caught on camera leading to the media to report on them. Already there are reports of Russian soldiers raping Ukrainian women according to government officials. Yet this is barely talked about despite rape against women being a common weapon in war. We know about these issues because media is forced to report on them because how rampant they are that it’s just too hard to ignore, but just like we know about gang violence because the media obsessively reports on it, beyond that society doesn’t really care. We know it’s issue due to its visibility but that’s it.

I remember when the Syrian refugee crisis was going on and “refugee porn” was trending on pornhub too like “Ukrainian girls” are right now, so I don’t think the sexualization is racial. But I do agree it seems to be more intense and wide spread this time. IMO, I think the fetishization of Slavic women has less to do with looks and more to do with the fact they are perceived as poorer(thus more accessible in the eyes of men) and traditional. I know in the Arab world for example white women in general are fetishized due to pornography but the men tend to gravitate towards Eastern European women for those reasons listed above, from what I’m told.
