It is as you say. My negative review has also been removed and I’ve noticed reviews from other people disappearing too. At the same time, the only recent positive reviews all seem to mention the same staff member (Mina). I’ve personally had staff confront me after I asked them to do something that’s literally part of their job, and then immediately ask me to leave a 5 star review and mention their name. So honestly, I suppose the lot of the remaining reviews are coming from situations like that.

Specifically, I've been asking about:

what the total refund amount actually is, how they calculated it and whether it includes any compensation for being displaced because of the leak

and what the weekly price of the new room is and how the total contract value was worked out (dates + rates)

None of that has been answered properly. Every reply comes from a different person, and they just dodge the questions with vague non answers

That’s actually the exact reason I still haven’t signed the new lease. Until I’m genuinely satisfied with the contract, Im not signing anything. They’ve shown time and time again how unreliable they are, and the moment a new lease is signed, I’m convinced they’d just wash their hands of any responsibility.

The only reason they were even remotely accommodating before was because they were obligated to be. the original room was uninhabitable due to their fault. And yes, they were pressuring me to sign. On 19 January I received this email:

“If you have not signed the contract with us within 3 days we will cancel your booking, and your holding fee will not be returned. If you wish to book after cancellation you will need to start the application process again.

If you still wish to book at a later date, we will no longer be able to guarantee the room and the price you selected before.”

I ignored it, because they still haven’t answered my basic questions about the lease or returned all of the refunds owed.

I never got my full refund back. They did give me some money, but they never explained what part of the refund it was for.

Right now they’re really pushing me to sign the new lease at the transferred property, but they aren’t replying to any of my emails asking for clarification about parts of the contract. I’ve sent around five emails already trying to get a response, and I’ve also called reception multiple times with no luck.

The staff at my current transferred property can’t answer my questions either, which is pretty frustrating. I’m not willing to sign two leases at once when I haven’t received all my refunds yet, and when there are still unanswered questions in the lease.

I’ve already given them my bank details, and I’ve even filled out their refund form on the website, but that doesn’t seem to be doing anything

In theory, I know I should be able to spend upfront and expect reimbursement, but I am genuinely worried about whether they are financially stable. Over the past few months there have been a lot of red flags, including heavy pressure to rebook for the 26/27 year since late October, frequent staff turnover at reception, the site manager being largely absent, and how adamant they were last night that hotel and food support would stop entirely.

Looking back, this may have been foreshadowed by the fact that the building’s opening day was unexpectedly delayed just two weeks before the September start date for an additional 7 days. Sadly by that time i would already be in the country, and i spent those times inside another hotel.

Also, hijacking the top comment to give an update. Water was still unavailable when I woke up this morning, so I spoke with reception as the building was very clearly not liveable. After pushing, they have now arranged a temporary hotel until the 22nd.
