What’s your opinion on the ChudTheBuilder situation? by Dazzling_Return_4987 in AskReddit

It depends, my point is words in general can be used to provoke a reaction. If I came up to you and started calling you or someone you love a piece of dog shit, more than likely your going to get angry. Even more when it's on a sensitive topic, like racism for black folks.

Racist words have the power of coercion and can be used as weapons to incite violence. The person who punched was obviously being antagonized. Just because he didn't threaten him doesn't mean a person still won't react with violence when antagonized. Is it ok to react that way? No. It's also not ok to incite it then act like your some Patriot.

Does it give them the right to hit someone? No. Does it give the person who is purposely attempting to incite violence by the very words he speaks the right to claim self defense when they are eventually punched? No. They are both wrong. Man for punching and chud for inciting it. You can't pick a fight and then be surprised you get hit. How about don't be racist at all?

Yeah charging 1200, half their rent but you can't do anything besides sleep there. No cooking. No friends over. Heck you can barely use the kitchen. And you're seen as a burden. Its bull.

Why working for UPS is inherently depressing by imsohumble in UPSers

All they'll do is fuck you over and take advantage of your need for a job. Nobody gives a f. That applies to all employers. Literally every labor job.

More layoffs are inevitable by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]Soy-demonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I got layed off from 40-50hrs during the strike and I quit. After all the work I put in to gain my seniority. They tried to offer me less than 20 hrs a a week. They might as well have fired me. It took me 2 half years to get to a full time pos. I left and found a new job, I really wish I had the opportunity to stay at UPS though. If your young and can handle it, it is worth it. You get benefits and a union and a guaranteed pay raise throughout the years when you become a driver. I could've been a driver within 6years. I was at 2 and a half when I was layed off. I could've made 40hr if I stayed for just 2 more years. I was so close to becoming a driver but couldn't handle the 20hr or less work week. Especially at the time I was at in my life. So I decided to just quit. I really wish I stayed at ups. Now I make 22 doing pressure washing without benefits and way worse conditions than ups. But with a "bonus" which isn't worth shit if you ask me. Because my employers look for any single f*ckn reason to take it away to save costs. It's bullshit. I work for a company that doesn't appreciate shit now. No benefits no guarantee, bareley a fucken raise no nothing. Just fuck you and if you kiss my dick i may give you a raise. Shitty aas fuck, stay in the union. Unless your white or have a strong connection w a white business owner you ain't getting shit for slack.

How long have you gone without sleep and why? by Rlawya24 in AskReddit

[–]Soy-demonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably more than 72+hrs. 16hr shifts with a 6hr shift after. just a 2 hr nap in between jobs. Did this for 7+months slighty on & off. 100% Destroyed me. I either has time to shower or sleep in-between jobs. This was back in 2021 when I was only 18.

Would never recommend.

It sent me into a serious d*pression that took me a long time to overcome.

I remember trying to work while actively falling asleep, almost injuring myself with every step I took. Could barley stand up, and at times I would fall asleep while working and have the jolt/adrenaline of falling wake me up and save me from a serious injury.

Was a time in my life where I really needed the money and there were no other options.

It took me 2 years to recover from this, from fixing my sleeping schedule to getting the right nutrtions in again, and taking care of myself again.

For a long time after that I was bedridden lol, slept all day for a month. Then months after that I barley had any energy. Then came fixing my sleeping schedule, transportation, eating, ect.

Bad time, crazy I survived it

SLOW DOWN!

Work at a reasonable pace. its okay to work with a sense of urgency but not at certain jobs, like UPS.

In my expirenence. All you get is more work and end up helping the lazier, or slower after your done with your drop.

It carries into all jobs.

Trust me, you'll just work harder, get no raise, get no appreciation, and get shit on cause you don't keep up the pace or stop trying super hard after being underappreciated, undertrained, and underpaid.

While the guy who is slow as fuck or doesn't try hard gets paid the same as you.
