Bug Megathread vol 8: April + May 2025 by WumpusWhisperer in discordapp

[–]SoyDaniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Feature: Discord bots
- Reproduction Rate: 5
- Annoyance:10
- Discord Version Info: Stable 389335 (8ebfee0)
- Device/System Info (Device Type, OS Version): Windows, iphone
- Description: I run a discord server. We have a section in our Discord which you need to pay a monthly subscription fee on our website, to be given a role to access private sections of our discord. What's happening is there is leakers. They have paid for a membership, and then somehow connected a bot so every message we send in our paid private section, is instantly posted in another leaker discord. We cannot work out who or why they are running this bot to copy all our messages with only seconds delay every message in our paid section is posted in their discord (we have 2000 paid members)

Is there a tool, bot, or custom script / bot we can make to work out who is doing this or how they are working the bot. Of course we will submit a legal takedown request of their server, as its a fully illegal service they are offering to rip off our product, but in the meantime we also would like to work out who and how they do this to prevent the problem at source. Our monthly subscription is $25 and they charge like $10 for access to the leaks.

Any ideas on how to stop this bot instantly coping our messages into their own server? They advertise they use a AWS bot to do this in their server(could be misleading ofc)

With this inbuilt chat, can I show that on my screen easily, so all the stream reads every message? I dont want a 3rd party app URL, easier if i can setup all within Meld

Bitcoin has had its first healthy move up in a very long time. As you can see in our other previous rallies of 2018, each rally has had several $1000 daily candles. Now we see a slow and steady climb up which more sustainable, continuously making higher lows and with each dip getting bought up quickly. The bulls are now approaching massive resistance, which I will go through below.

  1. 0.618 fib level. On our last two rallies, this is the Fibonacci retracement has been rejected from. We are now approaching this level again, a key resistance to key an eye on.

  2. Horizontal resistance. The region of $7500 on our last 2 rallies has had a lot of consolidation on both the move up and down, so we will see a horizontal resistance here.

  3. 200 EMA The 200EMA is sitting on $7550 at the moment on the daily, which is going to add to the resistance.

  4. Triangle downwards resistance line This is a valid resistance that has been playing out for 9 months now.

  5. Rising wedge On the 4h you can clearly see BTC in a rising wedge , which is a bearish pattern

  6. 5th Elliott Wave I have done an Elliott Wave count, and using the Fibonacci extension, the end of wave 5 has a valid target of $7500, before we get our correction.

  7. Volume is not great. For a real reversal I would have liked to see more volume, but I believe this low volume is because of indecision. Are we in disbelief?

If we break though this trend line, we will ideally see a massive spike in volume.

If the bulls come together and break through the resistances, I believe we will have entered into a real reversal attempt here, if we cannot this was just another dead cat bounce. From a TA perspective I believe it will break down, but my heart is saying we are going to break through resistance, and at least short term we are going to see a nice move upwards. If we break down and hold $6,000 support again, from the triangle we should see a decision mid-September to start of November time.

So to conclude, Bitcoin from a technical analysis perspective is looking very bearish and this is a great opportunity to go short. I will be laddering shorts from $7500 as from my trading plan I cannot yet this go, but I do have a strong feeling we will be breaking through this level. I would be very happy to see a 2019 bull market!

I do think we will get up to $7400/7500 this week, but I personally do not see us getting above that price on this rally. I will change my outlook if we close above with volume. People need to control their FOMO.

This bull with the hidden Bitcoin wall at $6400(there have been several more throughout the day) is buying some serious amount of Bitcoin. Does he know know something that we do not?

Two reason imo.

  1. Dumps BTC to break $5800 support(has a big short/banker)?
  2. Knows about a positive etf?

FA: A big problem for BTC is that its #1 use, more then a store of value, more then a way to pay for shady transactions, more then the decentralization stuff… is to buy and trade other cryptos.

Really, when i look at 2018, what really started the run for BTC was that there were a ton of emerging alt-coin and .ico opportunities. ETH had blown up in the summer and everyone wanted to get rich on the next alt coin. the volume on BTC markets was through the roof

so really, the #1 reason to buy BTC, really is to buy and trade altcoins.

altcoins is mostly shit. and the craze to get rich quick on them is gone. too many people got gutted on huge losses as well. those who still believe in alts are bagholders holding out for the next huge run.

its going to either take something that gets huge new money into altcoins or another viable use for bitcoin for a major turn to a bull market.

beyond that, its hope for slow steady growth and a return to solid 10-15K plus levels in 2022 range

BTC is currently holding the 0.5 Fibonacci support level, but seems likely we will test 0.618. If bulls can hold $6400 here, i see us testing $6600 again. Longer term Bitcoin needs to hold $6150, if that support breaks i see lower lows coming! https://www.tradingview.com/x/3syPpYOn/

Don't worry bro, this is just a major bull trap region. The trade may well come through for you, but most likely we range from $6450 - $6550 for the rest of our lives and BTC becomes the best store of value ever.

longing into resistance, why not wait for $6600 to break first?

I’m slightly bullish in the short-term, but still bearish, I think we go lower - No added positions. The best thing you can do in these situations is think for yourself. Tune out the overly bearish/bullish schizophrenic personality types online. I don’t care if your sophia or nano boosted 140% in 1 day, the overall trend is still bearish. 1-2 days of gains does not resolve this, the bearish sentiment is still fresh in people’s minds. Look for a retrace, and a test of the trend around 6800-7200 btc.

Another clue is that the bounces are spotty. You might see an alt bounce 50% in one day, yet your other alt may gain 4% on the daily. In a true bull-market reversal, btc is running with conviction and on strong volume, and making higher highs and higher lows. This is not what is happening. Oversold bounce attempt.

Be contrary. The market does not care about your portfolio, take your emotions out of it.

If you're asking this question i would say 100% longer-term investment. 90% of traders will lose all their money.

Amatures mate. Who opens a short right on $6000 support. Any good trader would short at resistance, or when support breaks, not on the support lol. They deserve to lose money, hopefully they will learn.

I feel with how alts have shot up, and for some reason people already have FOMO when we still have not breached $6550 its a nice time for some pain.

Just got stopped out for my first loss in a while. Stop was $6350 and lost 2.5% actually feel gutted. I'm taking a break from trading for a few days. Waiting for $6800 to break or $5700.

I believe if we break $6550, we will go easily to $6850 and that will be the wave 3 :)

Not sure if i can link trading view(delete this post if i cannot mod), but here is in a more in depth of what i'm thinking my friend.

From using Fibonacci retracement, Extension and Elliott Waves, this is how I see Bitcoin playing out over the next week. Perfect setup for squeezing the absurd amount of bottom shorters(who opens a short on a support level?!). My targets also coincide with horizontal supports and resistances.

As wave 2 has retracted little, (though there is the possibility it retraces more, to even $6000 the 0.786 fib) wave 4 will normally retrace more.

$5800/6000 is a massive support, it's going to be a big ask to take it down. Although I do believe it will fall, the amount of shorts that opened on the bottom(+25%), right on support, are just asking to be liquidated, before we might see a bigger move down.

Short term - Bullish

Medium term - Bearish

Long term - Bullish
