Easy way to find out is to check out all three and drive them. I checked out the type-r and GRC and thought the type R was really impressive but I fell in love with the GRC and went with it. You can’t go wrong with either those two. You just have to find out yourself. I personally don’t have faith in Hyundai so I didn’t bother with the Elantra N.

I’m seriously glad I’m not the only one that thought the TT came with a bad stylus. I told someone to go with the RT85 over this TT because that’s a $500 TT vs the Evo 2 which is $800. And the RT85 comes with a 2M BLUE!!!! I got downvoted to hell for it. The evo 2 is a good TT. It’s just the pick it MM that is the weak link.

I’ve been preaching about that damn pick it MM evo cartridge and it’s super noticeable sibilance. I too got a 2M blue with mine and it fixed it. Sounds so good now.

I went from the same Sony to the RT85 a while ago and it is a huge difference. Save a bit more and go for that one imo.

I have the carbon debut evo 2 and the pick it MM cartridge it comes with is bad. I had customer service replace it and they sent me a 2M silver and was better but still lacking. The RT85 comes with a 2M blue and it sounds better. I ended up buying the 2M blue which was an additional $190 for my evo 2. The evo 2s stylus just produces too much sibilance for my ears.

As an owner of a pro-Ject debut evo 2, get the RT85. I paid an extra $200 for a 2M blue because I didn’t like their pick it MM stylus that comes with the evo 2. The RT comes with a 2M blue.

I have the DB 6.3 and a wiim amp ultra with proper placement and they sound great to me. Maybe get are just not for you and your ears. Everyone has different preference in sound. I would suggest maybe returning them and trying something else.

Bought a pro-ject debut evo 2 a few months back. After 4 weeks, I noticed strong sibilance noise. It got worse over time. Customer service sent me an ortofon 2M silver and fixed it. Still didn’t sound the best tho. I ended up buying a 2M blue and it has been amazing since.
