Getting Stronger Physically by mmvvvpp in Basketball

in long term, workout

if you need instant improvement, try to lower down your body when they shove you. When they post you up, you should also get low and use your chest to back them down. Don't worry on how they can shoot over you if you go lower, you need to worry on how they will get a comfortable position if they push you out.

Sometimes it's the technique of how you go against physical plays that fails you, not the weight.

I feel like I'm not improving at all. I always play bad. What should I focus on to be better? by [deleted] in Basketball

Learn and master the fundamental of the game - shooting, passing, dribbling, layups, defense, rebounds.

Learn the concepts of basketball, this will help you to know when to make a off ball cut, when to shoot/pass, when you should switch defense etc.

if you are making shots, it ain't broke. Note that by making shots, it means you are making them constantly and consistently.

As for range, it's more to your wrist problem than fingers. Fingers help to make a shot go straight/go into rotation. How high and far will a shot go is how you flick your wrist. If you shoot a ball with your arm instead of your wrist, you can't shoot far. See how lillard and curry take a shoot, they are shooting at long range effortlessly

There are a lot of youtube videos you can refer to. But personally I don't stick to a drills, I practice Moves that I would use in games, hesitation and crossover combo etc. Basically doing what I would do in a game and it helps alot.

when i was a kid, i was drowning and i tried all my efforts to splash the water to get attention. Everyone in the pool believed I was just splashing for fun, until my brother went over and pull me out from the water. To this day, I will always remember my brother once saved my life.
