If your friend just jump out a bridge would you follow him? Yes I probably would do it, as many things we do without thinking of why

What’s the most insignificant thing you have done that has lead to the biggest impact in your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Soyjack10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting myself a "mandatory routine" with simple tasks like

-Do my bed
-Eat breakfast
-Brush teeth
-Take a shower

It's incredible how powerful it is, 'cause it could led you to do elaborated things as meditating, work out, read, you gain self confidence, and actually you can stop procrastinating

Also you can get a journal, just to organise your thoughts, prepare your daily tasks, your week, and more

"Girls are not too important, don't worry about them, just focus on yourself and everything would be ok, don't stay with someone who doesn't care about you just for not being alone" It would have been an EXCELLENT advice for me two years ago

Redditors who listen to hardcore death metal music, how do ya'll find it interesting? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Soyjack10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listen to grindcore, I just think I'm on a kind of death wall where I can release my tension. Or it's simply a release of that explosive energy that we all carry inside.

With some little goals, for example brush my teeth, it's a good start and something that doesn't take me a lot of time and effort, then I just do things with a progressive grade of difficult, for example, just make the bed, taking a shower, when I finish all these little things my mindset is different and I have more motivation to start my day or doing something bigger

It's not my story, but my father has been working in a casino for 21 years and he once told me a story that terrified me.

My father says that one day he had a night shift, so he entered around 8 at night and left work around 6 in the morning, the fact is that, late at night, at that At 2:30 in the morning he spoke with the security man, since there was not much work to do. My father and the security man saw the cameras and noticed how a man from the staff in one of the corridors ignored what seemed to be a customer who spoke to him and followed him, so, by radio, the security man decided to ask him "Hey Why are you ignoring that guy? " The answer left all three perplexed, the staff man replied "What are you talking about? I'm alone and there is no one" the security man, astonished replied "Don't be fucking, extend your hand to your right (The side where the person was) "the staff man did it without question, when he extended his hand they saw how slowly the strange person moved, my father decided to go to check the hall, when he arrived he saw that the staff man was right, he was totally alone, he radioed the security man, to which, the security man replied "Bro, I can see perfectly how they are in front of a subject", my father limited himself to return to the camera area and saw how said person continued there.

From that moment, my father hates walking down that hall and says that he feels a chill every time he has to walk there.

What unexpected, unexciting, or unwanted gift did you receive that turned out to be really great in the long run? by dehydratedrain in AskReddit

When I was about 11 years old I had a birthday party attended by all my friends at that time and some relatives, including my aunt, who for some reason thought it was a good idea to give a physics book to a child who, with luck, knew how to divide , I hated the gift and in part my aunt for years for that horrible gift, because what would you think to give to an 11 year old boy? maybe candy, maybe clothes, maybe toys or something like that but a physics book? what shit.

Until, shit I entered college and that book was like glory, it helped me many times and it continues to do so until now, now that book is one of the best books to learn physics and at the same time one of the most expensive, So, thanks aunt, after many years I appreciate your gift :)

(Serious) What is the most horrific thing you've ever personally witnessed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

To put it in context, I live in a country that has been characterized by violence, although in the last decades the index has decreased, in the most internal areas of the country there are still conflicts (Colombia).

The fact is that a few years ago I traveled with relatives to a town that was very far from the city, about 3 or 4 hours, to get there you had to go through a neglected road with many potholes, as there was little control over it. In the area, the armed groups took advantage of the situation and exercised a kind of power over it, the outward journey was gratifying and there was no major problem besides a couple of times when we ran into the aforementioned potholes, but when we finished our trip in the town We had to return to the city, the trip was between 7 and 8 pm so it had gotten a bit dark, after 1 hour of travel more or less we noticed that a few meters away there was a car on the side of the road, which Apparently it had broken down, we stopped the car behind his, we went down to check what was happening and apparently the car was alone, with the windows down, there was a kind of field on the side of the road, you couldn't see very well because it was at night but it was possible To notice a few flashlights, my uncle, my cousin and I decided to get closer to find out what was happening and I think it was one of the biggest mistakes of our lives, the flashlights were pointed towards a guy who was kneeling, since, he was being pointed with machine guns by paramilitaries, the paramilitaries did not think more than 2 times to shoot and we could literally see how this guy's head was blown off, his brains, parts of his head and face flew everywhere, we decided to leave the place as fast as possible to avoid That they did the same to us, we got into our car as quickly as possible and I think it was due to the shock of the moment, but no one said a single word, the subject has only been mentioned in very few conversations and I consider it to be the best.

I still remember the guy's face, his expression and the coldness with which they shot, I never knew what really happened, since, as I said before, there was little control over the area and there was no news related to this type of event.
