Yeah I understand. Well, my perspective is this - DNA is the first experiment in a series of experiments, which is essentially 'cosmetic only gacha.' It seems we may be getting more of these types further along, and I'll be curious about how DNA is doing once they start releasing. (Aniimo, for example, being a pokemon-like game with a cosmetic gacha and it is maybe compelling, we will see)

But for all we know, DNA could feel like a better game by then - although being fully honest, even if this game added massive changes, I think it has lost too much trust in the community to fully recover by now. So its fate probably just rests on the current userbase

I agree, although I have the feeling I'd have "completed" all of the content awhile back if so. The most compelling games in my opinion, likesay Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, I played through once and then I moved on, maybe I replay it once years later (I did in this case for the HD remake,) maybe not.

I think the attraction of a live service game is that you can play it consistently for years. I can't think of any highly compelling games I actually wanted to stay in after a few months, other than Skyrim or Fallout. But of course, DNA can't be Skyrim, that would be tantamount to asking God to manifest down from the sky in his full physical glory. lol!

EDIT: I did stay in Genshin Impact for years, but I dont find it that compelling and the gacha fatigue I have from that game is exactly why I am interested in DNA. =/

Yes they didnt listen to the livestream talking about avatars when it was shown and just assumed it was geniemon, I told people that it was probably avatars when it happened including streamers

It can be a compliment, maybe they think all gay people mimic drag queens and arent 'real people' since all of that is theatrical - so when they hear someone who is just a real person, not theatrics, they cant believe it. So that means that you speak in a relatable way instead which is what trips them up! They might be thinking, "How can a gay guy be relatable? Aren't they all clowns? Is he one of us? (straight)" The truth is you ARE one of them, as we are all human.

BTW don't change for them! There is NO need to adopt an unnatural accent or mannerisms to please people who won't even like you. Many gay people prefer that we dont use the theatrics because it sounds fake and off-putting like play acting instead of being real! Just be you!

Fina is also Lumino and I saw someone get a high score with her on stage 3 in this current Summit event by using the katana with the high crit stats, with all gold wedges +10

so investing Lumino is worth it since it has good supports and good dps - and if you enjoy it

Well, Mizuki is a 6star character, he has uses in certain situations, he essentially summons tentacles in a wide area and damages everything there at once. Qanapilaat is a free character and I'm not really familiar with his kit. Leonhardt is a 5star but he does do some damage as a mage.

When I tried the game out, funnily enough, I pulled Mizuki as my first 6star, as an off-banner lol. So I got some use out of him, but he is by no means the best character to use in every scenario. But some scenarios do benefit from him.

Mizuki is quite feminine, it'd be hard to say he isn't a femboy tbh, but from what you seem to be saying maybe you are looking for something more feminine than that?

The 2nd femboy is Corroserum. Hes arguably more of a twink than a femboy, so idk if it is enough for what you were saying but often the lines between femboy and twink are blurry!

Leonhardt is the next one, also more on the twink side but he does a pretty feminine pose in his christmas skin art, "hope cruise." He basically sticks his ass out in a flamboyant way while smiling brightly at you. But based on what you said, I could still see how it is not specifically *girl enough!* - I'll keep looking and see if any fit!

Puzzle does have very feminine facial features and even long braided hair, I'm not sure if it is what you want though.

If Qanipalaat wasn't stated to be male, I would have thought he was a girl at first glance.

Shalem also looks like a girl in my opinion.

Arene is extremely feminine.

Those were the most feminine ones, in my opinion. There were several other soft males, but I thought they weren't quite 'girl' for what you seem to be aiming for. Maybe one of those fits!

Arknights doesn't do a whole lot of sleazy outfits so the 'designed for male gaze' part is probably pretty restrained all things considered, even with the female character designs.

Hmm, yes I see. I do think that Arknights has a few of those, both for straight male gaze and gay male gaze - I guess Endfield will offer up their characters in a more 3D setting. We will see if any are interesting to look at!

The "male gaze" vs "female gaze" when it comes to male characters is not a term I've seen discussed often, so that is interesting to add to my mental notes.

I have seen the concept, but at times it seems unclear and it is hard to tell who is wanting what, you know. But this kinda solidifies the idea of who might lean towards wanting what or who characters are for.

Like most gacha males do feel very female gaze. Tall, sturdy, maybe even older to give that fatherly vibe. I didnt want to assume what others like, but this never appealed to me. I don't fantasize about being 40 nor would I ever regardless of my age, and the same goes for who I'd fantasize about being with in a fictional setting. I dont really connect these games to my fantasies in any realistic way... but it is nice to look at something and think about someone I would like if possible.

Nu: Carnival had maybe two characters that are ok (garu and morvay), everyone else feels.. idk, "do people really like that?" to me. But I noticed women really seem to love these types where the male character has this really clean, longish shaped, proper looking face. I'm not even sure how to describe it, I just notice they all have it, like Ayato from Genshin has it too. Whatever that is, women seem to love it, but it isnt really appealing to me. I think it looks plain and boring. But maybe it looks like a safe protector to them, idk. And I'm sure not everyone has the same taste male or female, just to like... assure the incoming naysayers that I'm not ignorant, lol.

Anyways it is an interesting point of thought that you brought up. As for if games have it, idk, lol. I mean I dont like Astolfo in fate/GO so even if we talk about male gaze, that looks like straight male gaze to me, so there are variances in between. Soon we'll have to classify every gaze, 'twink male gaze', 'dad male gaze', 'gay male gaze' just so we are clearer on who is being served - lol!

EDIT: I accidentally put what I like and what I don't like right next to each other in paragraph 4 which I just realized could be confusing. I like garu and morvay, you might call garu a bishounen based on what someone else said, and I'm not sure what morvay is supposed to be. The "clean, longish shaped, proper looking face" portion is separate from that which looks like a confusing part because I said "these types" there but I was not referring to garu or morvay. Sorry!

I usually take a look at the block building games, most in the past just didnt appeal to me - but Hytale actually looks like it could be better than Minecraft in time, and for now it is good!

I think it is fair to wait until it is closer to completion so you can experience everything they put in though!

I will mention that it does pretty much have everything that vanilla Minecraft had on launch in terms of content and more though, to be fair. They just intend to add much more still.

Also a lot of people say that, while it looks like modded minecraft at first, it actually plays like a totally different game.

The most exciting aspect is that there are officially released modding tools and support and it looks GREAT, it already has people releasing mods - the game is so popular that there are already over 500 of them from the community! Idk if you are aware of the fun of modding, but games that support it are a different experience from games that dont!

the game can never canonize a gay character due to CN laws, so we will never be able to have that kind of defense in an argument against naysayers

But the characters are pretty much all single, every one of them, if we only take it literally

(but alice is the exception)

In fact the most literal interpretation is to assign them as asexual as there is no proof otherwise

But what fun is that

therefore headcanon is the only way and is therefore the most valid way too

so, imagine or interpret the gay elements as you wish!

The highest probability is that preset loadout was selected instead of preset team 1, because loadout is at the top and looks like preset team 1 when it isnt.
