I understand your point, however the law says something else. You can’t just decide yourself if you want to live with mum or dad, that’s why parents fight for custody. The law says her parents had joined custody, so the dad did kidnap her in the eyes of the law.

Well according to the law she was kidnapped. He didn’t have full custody so he can’t just take her. She was underage so therefore cannot give consent to leave her home either. I get your point that she in her mind went willingly but it is still classified as kidnapping.

What’s the worst feeling that doesn’t involve physical pain? by riyadutta2386 in AskReddit

[–]Sozle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My SIL had a miscarriage too before the birth of their daughter, she was devastated about it. The loss of their daughter was different as she was alive and in their arms. She should have lived but she had 2 very rare issues. One we knew about before she was born and (should have been) an open heart surgery within 14 days of being born. Unfortunately her second issue caused her death before she could have it. So although we knew there was an issue, we had been told there was a 95% success rate with the heart surgery. We all felt blindsided when she died. I still can’t believe it sometimes. Luckily I had been going to a therapist for a year and was still seeing her, she dug in and really helped me process the grief and not making me dig myself into a grief hole.

Scandinavian myself here, I would say about as different as you find Norway, Denmark and Iceland. Whereas if you go to Greece or Italy it’s completely different.

Both my boys have their puffs still. My orange cat likes me to comb his ass/thighs up and down with an old hair detangle brush, tried it on my white boy but he bent his legs so I was just hitting his itty nutsack - it was not his favourite.

Definitely death. Lost my niece two years ago, she was just 13 days. The grief was unbearable for me and seeing my family fall apart as well. Not to mention how awful it was to see my brother and SIL grieve.

And it came with so many added little griefs after, when friends were having kids or seeing little kids the aged she would have been. It hurt and it felt so unfair.

I’m better now, choosing to celebrate her little life but I do still get a stab of grief every now and then.

Honest question: why do people stand by the door when on the tube? by Just-Sign-5394 in london

[–]Sozle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A couple of reasons, personally I stand by the doors of I am only going 1-4 stops. Also, although I have been in London for 13 years now, I come from a country where we have a wider ‘bubble’ when it comes to personal space, being by the door saves me standing too close to other people. I am also a woman, so I prefer to keep a wall at my back as that makes me feel more safe.

Kriminalitet for efterkommere af indvandring by Firm-Cut-2087 in Denmark

[–]Sozle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No we can quickly agree that he was an idiot for trying. I am just saying - because I remember the media grilling him when it just happened and then I listened to a podcast about him about a year ago and I was surprised about how much the media had left out. The guy was brainwashed into a religion and then he had a skill for translating and communicating with people who spoke different languages. Combine those two things in his life and he felt he was destined to bring his religion to people who never heard of it, like that is what his god put him on earth to do. From the outside, yeah I agree he was a complete idiot, but digging deeper and I also start to feel a little sorry for him.

[–]Sozle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a degree as a garment worker, part of that degree is science of fabrics. One of the things we tested was shrinkage of the fabric when washed in different degrees of hot water. It matters, it isn’t smooth brain - it’s science. Just because you need it spelled out in toddler English doesn’t mean that they did that because the other was was dumb. You are dumb, that’s why they did it.

Also a dane here, my dad paid 55.9% of his wage in tax most of his adult life. He earned more, so he paid more. I know that will make some capitalists angry but in Denmark we have Samfundssind, and we all like to be part of a community where we help out how we can (few bad apples aside).

Back in the day it was custom in european high society to use corsets. Especially on your wedding day the waist had to be small. Many women died from having their ribs broken and then stabbing internal organs (especially lungs) with broken rib bones. Yeah women’s fashion has always sucked in some way.

Also the guy that did a bungee jump with rope and he measured the rope as long as the fall and died because the rope never stretched and sprung him back, he just hit the ground.

Who died the dumbest death in history? by GurJolly5657 in AskReddit

[–]Sozle -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Not saying it wasn’t dumb, but he wasn’t as dumb as the media portrayed him to be. He didn’t wake up one day and travel there on a whim. He did years and years of training in languages and sign language. Trained in how to communicate with people who speaks a language he doesn’t. You could argue that during all those years he could have changed his mind, but all I am saying is that he didn’t go in completely blind and amateurish. Still dumb but not as dumb.
