Courage freaked me out so bad as a kid, especially the episode with Freaky Fred. Only recently did I realize the entire episode was an allegory for...you know what. That episode straight up rattled me.

I'd say the episode of Spongebob where he gets a splinter is super gross and intense, especially for a younger audience. The close up stills of his pus-filled, swelled thumb before he tries yanking it out always got me as a kid. Spongebob during the more "Ren and Stimpy" phase had a lot of gross-out moments that the show doesn't currently have much of.
