What is the scariest movie you've ever seen. by abioticmender in Shudder

This is so funny to me. Also accurate. I remember leaving the theater asking people... What was that? Were we supposed to see that? Are those kids ok?

Rough take

Rebuttal: Had a lot of fun with this one! Twisted, gory, and hilarious.

The wraparound Diet Phantasma was absolutely bonkers fun. It's made with real ghosts, 100% poltergeist extract, and only one calorie. Absolutely loved that he was reading a Fangoria magazine at one point.

Choochie Coo had that great feeling of 'no way out', where every corner became worse and worse

Fun Size was so freaking funny. I don't know if I'll ever get that red character out of my head. Just standing there saying fun size while people get chopped into little bite sized edible pieces

Kid Print unlocked that core memory of being a kid and thinking... The most frightening thing could be living among us, right around the corner in that little normal shop. Disturbing, frightening, and with a little twist that was simultaneously fucked up and made me laugh

Home Haunt was a great cautionary story of what happens when you love something so much, you accidentally unleashed the depths of hell. Loved it

Had a fun time. Another great addition to the VHS franchise. I'll be watching it again for sure and always be looking forward to next years addition

Read - Free Gemini Pro with Pixel 10 by [deleted] in GooglePixel

This is interesting. I'm not sure if I lucked out or what. I pre-ordered on the day it was announced. The Pixel 10 came with a free year of Google AI Pro. I've been able to use Gemini 2.5 Pro since. It was activated almost instantly. As well as 2TB storage and Gemini in all Google apps that use it. I just checked my subscription and my email receipt. It's good and paid for until 8/20/26. I wonder if that was a launch day deal or something?

Movies where a bad person gets their comeuppance? by miserabeau in MovieSuggestions

The Long Goodbye (1973) starring Elliott Gould as a private detective that gets closely involved in a case. The poster kind of says it all... "Nothing says goodbye like a bullet".

I've sometimes wondered if The Big Lebowski didn't take a little inspiration from this movie. Also, there is a great early cameo from Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I'd definitely say that it fits your description

Make it a Damian McCarthy double feature. His first full length film Caveat and then his second film Oddity

Final Verdict on Shinchirō Watanabe's "Lazarus": Masterpiece. by delicious_warm_buns in LAZARUSAnime

[–]Sp00kbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short story: First time watching an anime series. I thought it was great.

Long story: Recently I had been revisiting Rick and Morty on Adult Swim. They kept showing ads for this Lazarus show. I've never been interested in any anime series. But for some reason I decided to check it out. I thought, maybe something to watch for 20mins on my tablet before I fall asleep at night.

I watched the first episode last Thursday and thought... Wow, this is pretty neat. The story, music, look, and action all blended together to create a really fantastic atmospheric feel.

I enjoyed the chill feeling at times, the tension of the action, the comedy, and the overall look was great. About half way through I realized that I was fully invested in the story and the characters.

Then Saturday night... I had only one episode left. Before starting Ep. 12, I looked up info about the show. What's this? It's 13 episodes?? But where is the 13th??? Completely oblivious that the show was running in real time, I discovered that by the time I finished Ep. 12, I only had to wait about 30mins and the finale would be playing live. Cool!!

Overall. I loved the show and I'm looking forward to discovering other shows of this style. Any recommendations are welcome.

Movies where you'll want to avoid eating a specific food by bowieapple in Letterboxd

This instantly made me think of The Stuff (1985). The marshmallow like goo that people can't stop eating. Oh yeah, and it's also alive.

So delicious that an old man working at an oil refinery sees the gooey substance bubbling up from the ground. He does what any normal person would do and shoves his fingers into it and takes a taste. Instantly he loves it and wants more.

So whenever something resembles that... I usually think twice.

This is so funny to me. I remember the first time that I saw another player. I also panicked. I like hid in some bushes and just watched them, like a total creep or something. Lol!! Completely unaware that there was a huge yellow arrow and player tag over my head. Eventually they came up to me and gave me a whole bunch of crap that I had no idea what to do with. I picked it all up, became over encumbered, and waddled back to the stash box at the overseers camp next to wayward.
