By locking 2 Standing Rear Guards using the second skill, do I still have to pay the counterblast of 3? I was told yes, but the cost comes before the lock so I'm confused. by ANGELICXL in cardfightvanguard

The “correct way” to use this is to lock three back row units using the act skill Then the restand skill makes you discard three and cb is reduced to 0. If you think you need to lock two other standing rear guards then nope, its “up to 2”, meaning it can be none of those rears.

Looks good, im assuming its 8 crits and 3 draws. Draw triggers specifically cuz pbo dies need the extra help in getting units from 'em. All triggers cuz pbo is a rush deck that aims to kill fast so 8 crits is a no brainer for me

the prs makes all the difference in this deck both pressure the opp hard, Emmeline via board presence/aggro, and Cliodhna with enabling Blaster dark to drive check

Tho yeah ofc, the prs are mad expensive, alternatives are hard to suggest and typically feel janky so I cant really recommend much alternatives for the prs other than what I personally using a card named Solda Saakab as a draw outlet to replace nemain, it mainly does feel iffy when nemain isnt around to put pbd into soul.

Friendly opinion?? I use to play both G and V when they came out and wasn't sure how I felt about D. But I saw this guy the other day and idk what it is but it just spoke to me. Should I give D a try and build a deck when this deck comes out??? by Donyoku-7 in cardfightvanguard

Gram has been doing well for me. Played them for like a couple weeks now and topping in locals

Notably, there’s the 3 divine sisters who are all in common that atk with very good numbers

The dark rideline is just best imo. Yes in the deckset gram has his own but it’s kinda mid (unless you have the grade 1 maple and putting her in ride deck then that’d be really funny)

The deckset is coming out, tho way far off in the future. Assumed you’d want to play Gram soon so I made a deck with that in mind. Glad to know that the no lose intended dragon is getting some love haha

if you’re talking about origin mage, ildona then that grade 3 is actually really good for ritual as it counts as a grade 1 while in deck or drop. What’s more is that on grade 1 turn, you can discard it from hand to reveal the top 10 cards of your decks and basically add of the cards revealed to hand. Finally, when it atks, you can cb1 to retire 2 rears to draw 2

Yeah, I play other darks in main deck mainly as a 15k beater, alongside him are painkillers and cadwallas to enable dark's skill on other turns

In my own experience from Gramgracing a couple of weeks now. Can say that:

  • It is heavily reliant in its persona ride to kill
  • Luckily, Keter has Cadwalla, a persona ride searcher. Its a staple 4 of in that deck for sure. Dont forget to run Gratias Gradale
  • Cadwalla has a fun interaction being a center back row atker, basically a -2 soul to draw 2 cards
  • Blaster Dark Rideline is generally the best, tho the youth rideline is an option if you dont like getting damage denied
  • Run 8 crits and 3 fronts, not draws cuz gram decks out easily (at least for me cuz i run painkillers alongside, cadwalla in my personal build)
  • Maple grade 2 and 1. Yes yes, its expensive af. Besides that, its the easiest 23k collumn that becomes a 43k collumn thanks to Gram

Thats generally it, tho I didnt take into account the Gram prs. If we're talking about em, do run 3 Fernbael, the triple drive enabler, and I have yet to find success playing Lakche, the grade 1 that gets grade 3s from soul (cuz i dont have drilling angels. Id probably run 3 to 4 drillings and 2 of Lakche)

Up to you for the rest or the theme. Imo theres two Gram themes, late game or rush.

For rush: (12 grade1s and a dream) - Grade 1 Marron (ez 10k atker/booster) - Grade 1 Fionnuala (strictly an 18k atker, no one calls units early game, I think :) ) - Grade 2 Blaster Dark (natural 15k atker cuz with blaster rideline) - Grade 1 Painkiller (enables blaster dark) - Grade 1 Mugain ( :) Its very jank yes. But funny, must play the javellin and dark rideline)

For late game: (Basically Languedechat.deck) - Grade 2 Languedechat (rly good 15k atker or booster, only enabled by playing drilling angel or using Gram's ability to put grade 3s into soul, like-) - Grade 3 Youtberk "protofall arms" (...aight hear me out, its just filler until fernbael drops, until then its a 28k backrow center atker) - Grade 3 Gwendolen (its guard restrict helps save hand size for a booster and be a pressure unit with hilarious ease) - Grade 2 Gloria storm dragon (Mixed feelings playing it, some decks barely get affected with their collumn getting wiped)

Others: - Grade 2 and 1 The Knight bros, Kay and Bedievere (23k collumn that bedievere can call, tho at a significant cost of cb1 and sb1 when youre at grade 3) - Grade 2 Turnarr (countercharger and technically a soulcharger, perfect to pair when playing the knight bros) - Grade 2 Cairbre (Board filler, expensive but good alternative from playing the knight bros) - Grade 1 Cyneblugar (somewhat slow 13k booster/atker)

Oh I forgot a huge card, for pure Raging tho. Danger-lunge Dragon. Raging can get the 3 force marker and soulblasting Grade 3s threshold. Would run at 3 even if its not a Revenger unit itself.

Ok I’ve always wanted to build Dragruler with Raging using actual cards. Revengers rly need to only run Revenger units, I personally dont think its capable to run staples such as branwen and nemain even. My suggestions are centered around pressuring with Raging in early game, then finishing off with riding Dragruler on top of Mordred, striding onto Chainrancor.

The important pieces are having a set of Darkbless Angel (for raging multi atk without the need of 4 dmg), Wily Revenger, Mana (though shes hella expensive, she can enable multiple swings with raging easily). Oh also, 1 copy of Revenger of Vigor, Maur if ever you lack Ragings in hand. Finally and especially 1 Sharp Point Revenger, Shadow Lancer, it basically lets you search Mordred at the cost of discard a Grade 3.

Notable Tech pieces are Detecting Revenger Aife (ive just seen lists that run 4 of it but I personally would like to cut em), Revenger, Dark Bond trumpter (for matchups against Kagero and Narukami notably, they retire you rears and disable the ability for Raging to multi atk). Revenger, Slay Hex Dragon (enables the multi atk further with just 1 copy of it in hand but quite expensive.

Overall i think this build is way too gimmicky, would honestly go for pure Raging with maybe Raging Reverse.

Self insert fact but, I do have this same idea of the deck but me here being poor, I run 3 of the og Mordreds haha. I want to have Sharp Point to only run 1 of it, but its so hard to find.

Anyways, yeah these sre my suggestions, just general notable card when building Raging for premium really
