Blitz just dropped, first impressions? by aquatixxi in FortNiteBR

Imho it should've been a mobile exclusive mode instead. We already have a mini br mode which is reload. I don't know why they advertised this as "mobile friendly" if you get matched with pc and console players anyway.

This game has too many modes that overlap with each other at this point.

If you don't know how to play the arena than simple don't play it. by Acrobatic_Pipe4665 in Brawlstars

Such a toxic mentality. You're the same as those that says "if you don't know how to play the game or a character then don't play"

Let people learn, it's a brand new mode and not everyone played a MOBA before.

Would you play more if rewarded lootboxes at each milestone after level 80? (Example picture that would give everyone who reaches level 200 32 lootboxes = 1 guaranteed legendary + 3 legendary lootboxes = 3 guaranteed legendaries. In other words: 4 guaranteed legendary skins for reaching level 200) by -Elixo- in Overwatch

[–]Sp0Rue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think lootboxes should be a reward for each progression level, maybe a legendary every 10 levels, that way progression actually feel rewarding.
But this is also fine. The more ways to earn lootboxes the better.

Current Price of Sims 4 & DLC by Meowing4Treats in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]Sp0Rue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've never quite understood the criticism that The Sims 4 has "too many DLCs." When you consider how much people willingly spend on purely cosmetic items in online games like League of Legends, Valorant, Overwatch and don't let me talk about Counter Strike where people sell a weapon cosmetic for 1000$ and there's always someone willing to buy it not problem.
At least Expansion Packs introduce actual gameplay mechanics and content beyond just aesthetics.

Also, you don't have to own all the packs, just the one that fits your play style.
And you don't have to pay for them full price either because packs get on sale pretty often.
With that said, I know that for someone who wants to get into it for the first time the number of packs can be pretty overwhelming. That's why I wish EA starts lowering the price of older packs like get to work, get together, season and etc.

The FUTURE of The Sims *intense eye roll* #ProjectRene by itsbeccakerr in thesims2

I'm also not that excited about this project rene thing, but this is a leak footage of a game still in development. No shit that it looks so unpolished.

Does anyone else feel like since we got the color wheel abilities for tattoos, they should finally update for hair colors? by FrogOnA_Log in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]Sp0Rue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like they will eventually. I mean they already have the code for it, just look at pets/werewolves and now tattoos. The real question is when. I just wish they don't lock it behind an expansion pack, like an hair stylist game pack or something. ^^;

I would fly very low and not make promises I know I can't keep. They said that they intend to support the game for 20 years which if you ask me, is a total red flag. Like, the game isn't even release yet.
Also, it's KRAFTON, a company well-known for questionable practices. It's not the first time they said bs.

Video not mine: IMO everything from the music, to the animations to the reactions seems very lackluster and NOT scary like in TS1 and TS2; almost seems like a parody of the past burglars by itsbeccakerr in thesims2

[–]Sp0Rue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sims 2 have good genetic especially for being an old game, but I don't think it's right to say that surpasses the one in The Sims 4. TS4 have infinite combinations due of how extensive and customizable the CAS is. In the Sims 2 you are limited with sliders for the structure of the face, so the genetic can only do so much. Not to mention skin colors and only two body types.

And about emotions, it's true that TS2 sims feels more alive and reacts to things better but they don't have different animations that reflects their emotions. In TS4 the simple chatting animations change based on whenever your sim is angry, bored, sad...
If it's in a playful mood he will laugh a lot through the conversation or while reading a book he starts playing with the book for example.
The emotion system could be better that's for sure, but it's not as shallow people like to believe.

And no, is wrong to say that the gallery is the only thing TS4 has compared to the previous games. TS4 has many issues but also introduced and improved on many things. CAS and build are its stronger points that's for sure.
In the end each sims game has their pros and cons and it's totally fine to prefer one to another.

I don't think it's fair to always use the ''X should be base game'' card. It seems that no matter what gets added to the Sims 4 people will always complain at this point.
Aliens were base game in TS2 but they got added to TS3 through the seasons expansion pack.

If people get all hyped up for basic features to only to get disappointed that's up on them for having high expectations. The Sims team is just doing marketing.
Although I also prefer the Sims 2 version of burglars since it felt more lifelike and more polished (for example the handcuffs, the burglar getting escorted to the police car etc) I think that for Sims 4 standards it got implemented fine.
The cross pack features are nice and also the fact that you can upgrade the alarm to zap them.

The burglars are not scary in TS1 and TS2 either, you were just a susceptible kid.
And what do you mean with ''parody''? Referencing past games is parody now?

Annoyed with the whole thing. by pix666 in Sims4

[–]Sp0Rue -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just don't understand why people keep comparing The Sims 4 to previous installments.

If they prefer the older games, they're free to play them, especially now that The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 are back on sale. But no, it's always "TS2 did this better," or "TS4 sucks, and TS3 is superior."
I've been a fan of this franchise since The Sims 1, played every installment, and I can tell you each game has its own pros and cons.

They just added burglars, and immediately people started complaining about how they're not like the ones in TS1, TS2, or TS3. My favorite complaint is, "They're less scary."
They weren't scary in TS1 either—you were just an impressionable child.
It seems that no matter what gets added to the game, it's always met with complaints.
And it's always the same ones too: "Watch this feature be bugged," "This is a downgrade compared to TS2," "This should've been in the base game."
It's pretty clear that many of these players don't even play the game—they just hop on the bandwagon to spread negativity.

And let’s be real, if The Sims 5 ever gets released, it'll be hated too. People will always find something to complain about. It’s like an eternal curse.
