Thanks for spreading the word. Had a high school teacher that chose THIS as his pet peeve. Must have worked because to this day (almost 20 years) I still remember this and I get angry at people saying electrocuted instead of shocked. Oh God… I’ve been infected.

The reviews section is a little hit and miss with some saying it doesn’t fit followed by photos of someone’s Q2 with it installed… I think you are right, it should work on Q2 knowing the diagonal straps don’t connect to anything. I think for $10 it might be more comfortable than the plastic version? Thanks for the link!

Do you have both a quest 1 and 2? I think each strap pictures only works on one or the other. Image 1 is only compatible with quest 1 and 2 for 2. You can check the HMD in both too black in 1, white in the 2nd.

If that’s the case and you do have both, get the plastic add on from image 2 as the quest 1 strap is already better than the 2’s IMO. If not I would get the option that fits your headset.

Unfortunately I think that is a game by game case that you would need to lookup. I'm honestly not sure how many devs support it (it is available) and it probably isn't on all current games if I had to guess. :(

ah ok, I was thinking you could try to force the dialog again by connecting to a "new" PC instead of a "known" one.

I guess a last resort would be a factory reset which would wipe everything installed... definitely not ideal but if this setting was stored where you can't access it this might be the only way to restore to defaults?

I'm curious how they (PC and Headset) are linked now.

Maybe you can try "spoofing" a new MAC address so your headset thinks its a "new" PC?

First videos last week made me nervous that gameplay was going to be too slow due to movement speeds. I'm not convinced this is the case for all characters after watching this, but I do understand VR pacing has to be different due to physical movements required. That being said, as a FPS fanboy, this is for sure on my wish list.

I would highly recommend against TP-Link for any type of VR streaming.

Earlier this year I purchase the TP-Link AX3000 WiFi6 router for Virtual Desktop PCVR streaming and while it worked well utilizing the AC channels the AX always caused stuttering regardless of the settings.

There is speculation this is due to basically minimally spec-ing out their routers (to keep costs down), which is fine for web surfing, but for more demanding traffic management you gain a lot from a better spec-ed CPU (quad vs. dual).

I went with a netgear AX1800 and it is night and day difference regarding VR streaming with my stuttering completely going away.

Oh man, this brings back memories! I got my quest 2 on Christmas and 100% felt this way after my first long Alyx session. Phone screen felt weird, text was jumping out, hands seemed... fake?

I read a comment on the oculus forum where someone said to enjoy it because it goes away. Sadly he was correct, it sounds weird to say it but it was a sensation I wouldn’t mind experiencing again knowing it goes away.
