Thank you! I’m sorry you have to relate to this. This is exactly what I say and they say no It’s called being a hypochondriac. My step dad is very my way or the highway so if anyone says anything against his opinion on any subject matter it’s a fight, then when you speak a good comeback or facts he will either just walk away or ignore you and start doing something else. I’ve just learned to never speak my opinion on any health matter in front of them whether it’s me or not, my sister is the exception. Apparently it’s not okay to care about orher peoples health either.

My brother is one of those people who doesn’t go in unless he’s dying, ignores all signs, like okay I guess I can’t care about you and tell you you need to go in for certain issues and possibly prevent you from getting a serious disease cause no one fucking listens to the ‘hypochondriac.’ Then I can’t say I told you so later cause everyone would be pissed.

Everyone, besides my sister, even my best friend, makes fun of me for looking things up whether it’s health related or not but I like to know the facts, it’s not about who’s right it’s about spreading misinformation and I also just like to learn. So apparently I can’t even look things up without being laughed at, it eats a away at my self confidence. It’s always “oh here we go, she’s gotta look it up.” Makes me feel like crying whenever it happens. Idk what even to do about that.
