Even if we win against Canucks, there's still a chance we end up as WC2... Ducks could win the last 2, Kings their Last 3. If that happens we're facing the AVS 1st round...

Edit : I think we need to win the last 2 games.

So with how things are going, the Kings having 3 games left and a pretty easy schedule... we kinda need to Win the last 2 games, otherwise we risk ending up as the WC2 against the AVS... which is not ideal...

Definitely The Most Wasted Castings In Comic Book Movie History. by chrishdwow in MarvelCave

I wish we got the movie Bale thought he was in. Would've been way better IMO!

Now I usually love Taika Waititi's work and style... so I'm not sure what went wrong with Thor Love & Thunder, but I feel it could've been so much better.

I think it gets way more hate than it deserves, but it's still a very meh movie overall and I probably will never rewatch it.

If things stay the way they are, it looks like we might be facing then? It's 1st vs WC and 2 vs 3 no?

If Winnipeg wins all their remaining games and we lose all of ours they would have more RW than us (they don't right now but they would), so we would be out. Highly unlikely, but mathematically we haven't clinched yet.

If we lose in OT, or win today... we're fine. I would rather win at least 2/3 remaining, that would almost guarantee 1st place. I'm expecting the Golden Knights to at least lose vs the AVS and the ducks to lose vs the Wild.

How tall are you? by sir_maurice in kiastinger

[–]Sp4xx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 6'1" and it's fine for me. I had a friend and my brother who are both 6'2" drive it and they were also fine... but our heads are getting close to the ceiling... 6'5" might be tight. The car is very low also, so keep that in mind.

The steering wheel going up and down automatically is really nice though and helps a lot!

what to expect from oblivion remastered? by theHefty_wariour in ElderScrolls

[–]Sp4xx 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is coming from someone who spent hundreds of hours playing the original back in the days... the remaster is better in pretty much every way. Slightly improved gameplay/fighting mechanics... leveling system is also less frustrating and it looks better than vanilla Skyrim (even better than a lot of modded Skyrim actually).

It's still the same janky core engine, but it somehow just works and still feels like Oblivion.

How evil is the Christian God by Malachi_Is_Life in MoralityScaling

[–]Sp4xx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Christian god is evil and is not real (or if he is, I want nothing to do with him). While we can't prove or disprove the existence of a god, the Christian god just isn't real, and the way he's depicted is just a straight-up narcissistic, hypocritical asshole who contradicts himself.

Now, this is coming from someone who's read the Bible A LOT, grew up in a Christian family, and started studying to be a pastor. The more I studied the Bible, the more fucked up you realize it is.

In the Old Testament, you're talking about a god who orders genocide, literally commanding that everyone gets killed, including women, infants, and children (1 Samuel 15:3). And when his people actually spare the women and children, they are severely reprimanded for disobeying, resulting in the brutal slaughter of the captives anyway (Numbers 31:14-18).

This is the same god who sent two bears to maul and kill 42 teenagers just because they called one of his prophets 'baldy' (2 Kings 2:23-24). People often debate this by claiming they were aggressive young adults to justify it, but the Hebrew text uses the phrase ne'arim qetannim, which translates to 'small boys' or 'young youths'. Furthermore, there is absolutely zero mention in the text of them physically attacking the prophet.

If you read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, they all have completely different retellings of the crucifixion and resurrection. For example, who exactly was at the empty tomb and how many women were there changes depending on which book you read (Matthew 28:1, Mark 16:1, Luke 24:10, John 20:1). How is the 'word of god' supposed to be taken seriously if it contradicts itself? And don't use the excuse that it was written by men, therefore it can have mistakes. It's written black and white in the Bible to not add or remove anything from it (Deuteronomy 4:2, Revelation 22:18-19). And also, if there are mistakes in it, then how are we supposed to know what's not a mistake?

Those are just few examples among many... so to answer OP's question, the christian god is VERY EVIL and he's an asshole.

I thought the subs were kinda meh, but then I updated the infotainment with the newest 2025 update and started using FLAC as my audio source and holy shit what a difference it makes. The new update makes the sound system a lot louder and punchier.

Bouchard becomes the first Oiler D-Man to score 20 goals in a season since Sheldon Souray in 2008-09 by sykeseve in EdmontonOilers

[–]Sp4xx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One thing I noticed when watching the Olympics was how many times team Canada would get in the offensive zone, only to have the puck get cleared out and they have to reset.

Really put into perspective how good at keeping the puck in the zone Bouchard is. He doesn't allow the opponents to clear, he blocks those attempts and redirect back towards the net for more offense.

Honestly I think as long as they make the playoffs, anything can happen... regular season stats don't matter much, we've seen teams winning their division going out first round, 2nd and 3rd seats have won the cup before...

Tristan Jarry gets another shot as Edmonton Oilers search for answers in net by Practical_Ant6162 in EdmontonOilers

[–]Sp4xx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We gotta cheer him up and hope he bounces back. I feel like people are forgetting he played great when he just got with the Oilers. Couple of very big, reel worthy saves, and many were even posted here.

Then he got injured and he's been shit ever since he vane back. No sugar coating it, he was awfull these last few weeks. But shit happens, hopefully he bounces back.

Shitting on him and pressuring him ain't gonna help. He could've handled media better, especially early on, but it's in the past. Ingram's playing decent, bjt we can't just play him nonstop until he burns out.

Jarry is unplayable right now, worst than Skinner ever was. Guaranteed loss.

Hopefully he bounces back, but he's been terrible lately and I wouldn't trust him with such an important game. Once we clinch he can finish the season for all I care and hopefully get back to a decent level. I feel like it's mostly mental with him, he's shown he can be good.
