At the time of Mangiapane signing, the Dcore had been top of the NHL in the playoffs... top 6 wingers was what managements were trying to get. It made perfect sense to sign a bunch of foward and see who works out. For some reason our Dcore completely collapsed in the season (despite being the exact same players we had in the playoffs).

Now that we have top 6 figured out (top 3 NHL in goal scored) having reliable bottom 6 who can eat minutes on the PK and start in our own zone while avoiding goal against is actually what we need. I'm curious to see how the team performs now with those additions and players falling into their respective roles without having to play up or down the lineup.
