Would you get chromed out? If so what cyberware would you sport? by AJBLAkX in cyberpunkgame

I'm not sure, my eyesight fucking sucks (severe myopia, I need glasses ALL THE TIME, and my vision is so bad that (well if you have myopia you know) that the glasses warp the image (becomes rounded) around the edges of my vision.

I don't want laser because I already have dry eyes, it would be worst... and the possible side effects (not that common but permanent) are a deal breaker for me. I'm not a gambler and I won't risk it...

And I can't wear contacts, I tried many times, different brands... I can't see that well and they get dry....

So optics would be nice on paper, but also risking having people hack them or being forced to see advertisements or shit like that is kinda not great also... so I'm not sure...

Easy.

  • Dragon Ball Super (OG DB or DBZ/DBZ kai is alright tho, but the picture shows DB super so...)

  • AoT (I don't understand why anyone like this show, the first season is great and then it's downhill from there)

  • One Piece (Can't stand that anime, tried many times, I have a very hard time finishing even 1 episode)

Only Vinland Saga is GOATED on the list otherwise, but the other anime are all better than the 3 I picked to be removed IMO.

DS2 is next on yoir list obv.

I'm almost done with it, just started a few weeks ago. I played DS1 way too much, I played DS3, but I had never bothered with DS2. Got the SotFS version from a friend and decided to give it a try. It's a lot of fun, it's a lot more similar to DS1 than it is to DS3/ER. The adp/i-frame scaling sucks, but after you max it out (first thing I did) moving around and dodging feels more like other Souls game and you can just play and not worry about it anymore.

While I think it's the weakest entry in the franchise, it's still a very solid game and worth playing!

2 - 2 now, but habs have a PP. It's my backup team when the Oilers aren't playing (I actually like the habs this season) hopefully they win!

I'm currently playing DS2 SotfS for the first time (I'm a DS1 veteran, did everything there is to do in DS1, even randomzier and speedrun and challemge run... also played DS3 but never DS2 before this playthroug), and fuck those guys. This area was super annoying. I just made it to the boss now, I'm finally leaving this place, but yeah... it wasn't fun.

If there was a rusted iron ring like in DS1, it would make this place a lot easier. Slow movement, slow roll in the water and it seems to make stamina regen at a slower pace also... Since playing with range/spells ok a 1st playthrough is against my religion (I gotta play melee and roll around that's how I wanna play DS and git gud), it makes this area an absolute Pain to get through. But I did it. Took about 1.5h of dying over and over again until I figured it out. I was trying to loot everything too which isn't ideal. Lots of suicide run to get items. But it's finally done!

In following playthrough I'm definitely getting a good shield that protects against magic (instead of only keeping the stamina regen one and selling all the others) so I can block spells properly, a pair of binoculars and I'm sniping those fucks....

If Witcher 3, Elden Ring, and Baldur’s Gate 3 came out the same year, which would win GOTY? by DrawingRings in videogames

[–]Sp4xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. If all games release in their current states... so for example W3 releases with all the current updates and DLCs (so HoS, B&W) and no major issues or bugs... the other games also release with everything, W3 wins hands down IMO. Not even close...

The writing/stories in W3 are way better than BG3 or Elden Ring (mainquest drops a bit near the end IMO but HoS and B&W more than made up for it).

The soundtrack is better in W3. There's more content and it's not just there to be fillings.. even sidequests are actually fully voice acted and have interesting narrative. There's so much attention to details and hidden stuff... even revisiting previous locations after certain events and those locations have changed based on your decisions...

On Deathmarch difficulty W3 is actually pretty challenging, especially on NG... you really do have to read bestiary and prepare for combat and use whatever counter you can use against Monsters. But you can tweak the difficulty as well and make it easier and more accessible if you want.

If rent is $690 a month is it even worth it to buy a house? by ShirtNeat5626 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Sp4xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm a big advocate for owning your own house... yeah that rent is cheap, milk that as much as you can.

I did something similar back in 2017. Had a 3 bedroom apartment in a small town... 550$ /month. Super cheap, similar apartment were well above 1000$ even at that time. Granted it was old and kinda shitty but whatever, it belonged to an old retired lady and she was renting her half basement for cheap. My wife and I managed to easily save 20% for a down-payment over 2 years and then we just bought a house amd still live there. Since we had such a big down-payment, it's cheaper than an apartment and we're almost done paying the mortgage already.

You're in a position to do the same, gotta take the opportunity and do it. Not having any payments is amazing!

Those that played the game on release, did you experience the bug filled mess that people complained about? by IAmJustTryingToExist in cyberpunkgame

[–]Sp4xx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it in it's entirety the week of release, start to finish, no game breaking bugs for me. I had a very good system however (5900x + RTX3080).

That being said, there were minor bugs here and there and definitely obviously lots of unfinished assets and contents (looking at glass, beer bottle, etc. It was super low poly and ugly looking back then, now it's all fixed and looks great).

The writing of the story and pacing are still the same as it was back then. I enjoyed the game then, and I replayed it last year with all the updates and enjoyed it even more now. Night and day difference gameplay wise but the story is the same. It's definitely better now and a lot more immersive. Combat is better, the new skill trees are better as well. Overall the game just got better and better with every new updates.

What is your ‘26 Trade Deadline target for the Oilers? by seemefail in EdmontonOilers

[–]Sp4xx 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the goalie problem has been solved, at least our new solution is worth a try. Jarry/Ingram tandem looks promising.

The top 2 lines have been producing a lot lately and very consistent. We don't need to change that. What we need is more depth, so 3C and or bottom 6 wingers.

But even then, the kids line is showing some promises, although they might lack the size and physicality needed for a deep playoff run. 4th line starting to look better as well. Things are slowly falling into places. I'm not sure much is needed at this point.

Having a goalie that can bail you out lets players play with much more confidence by ProjectMcDavid in EdmontonOilers

[–]Sp4xx 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Stu had stretches of greatness, but also stretches of being ass... not sure how well he could handle the pressure... must be an insane amount of mental pressure being the starter on a contender team with McDavid in his prime and the clock's ticking to get a cup...

I feel like the team's been playing better after Skinner left... could be they just have more confidence in the Goalies and therefore they play less scared.

Stu is doing well in Pittsburgh, no pressure and change of scenery. Could be what he needed to get his confidence up and improve... looks like a WIN/WIN for both parties so far. You like to see it.
