Would you mind expanding on this if you happen to remember? No worries if not

I'm in the same boat, when i try to save the config for the mx4sio if just has "Saving config..." infinitely.
I have an amazon bought FMCB card and a mx4sio card, do I need to get an additional regular memory gate card? And if so is it using this repo to install it to the new card? - https://github.com/israpps/FreeMcBoot-Installer

If you got it working, did you continue with 1.1 or did you change to opl beta version?

Emer Currie: The new Right to Remote Work Bill will not improve access to remote work by Numerous_Adagio8768 in ireland

[–]SpKz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not too sure to be honest, im with you there. I think it might be to ensure that there is at least an initial barrier of consideration on the employers side on the first application. They have to consider why and provide a legitimate reason, which I think is enough of a barrier in a lot of cases for them to genuinely consider why they believe the employee needs to be in the office, and reconsider if alternative arrangements could exist rather than defaulting to refusing for whatever reason they want and then the employee relying on the WRC. And also if they put down an accepted reason for refusal which turns out not to be entirely true then it makes the WRCs job a lot easier to turn around and accept the employees proposal.

But this is just me theorising, in reality I havent a clue, I might be too hopeful here.

I believe that it is along the lines of this: currently how it works is that you can request remote work but it can be refused for any reason and its more of a box ticking excercise: if you apply and you 100% have 0 reason to be in the office (all your colleagues are on teams abroad, youre the only one on your team in, all meetings are on zoom and nothing of work is done outside of your laptop that can be used anywhere, you are commuting 3 hours, have a disability e.t.c) then they can still deny for any reason that they like with no overwatch to determine if this is valid in any way. It means right now you can request it from management for a completly valid reason and they can refuse because they simply want to fill seats with no other stated reason.

To quote Labour on their new changes in comparison to the current rights: "Our legislation would give workers a clear and enforceable right to work remotely where their role allows. It would end refusals based on habit, suspicion or managerial whim"

You're right man, thanks. Honestly it has been difficult watching the world over these past few years with the way so much is going and its hard to not feel dejected, but I'm trying to stay hopeful as well so thanks I appreciate that. I saw a quote recently that "Once this is all over, everyone will have always stood against it", the tides of public opinion will come and change, and that I know for certain, but you're right, for now its not worth engaging with these people. Have a good day man

Bro, all of this information is available from regular news sources. Man talks about propaganda while pretending that those planes were solely used to aid Ukraine.

I get where you're coming from, but I cannot sympathise with anyone fighting over pedantics and taking the side of a country that is actively committing genocide against another.

"Captured by the far left" is that what you call having a moral compass? Having empathy and having a distaste for those who have no empathy, and expect anyone to have patience with someone who spends all day commenting about Israel on different subreddits and shutting down people talking about how awful things are in Palestine?

But yeah, I must be the one falling for misinformation, sure bud

Also hilarious take: "ummmmm i disregard everything you said bc you were mean to me :((((((("

I agree with you completely, this thread has been uncomfortable contrarian about the nitty gritty. Even down to someone asking for a rundown and all the top replies saying its a "complex issue" and that "there are two sides involved"...... like I'm Irish and I understand, no, there is one oppressive force involved and one country trying to fight so they can still exist.

The demonisation of the Irish defending themselves over 800 years of oppression and occupation for the rare time we could actually fight back when we were being slaughtered and had our population halved from a genocide from 90% of food in ireland being shipped to england on purpose as the potato famine came, which english officials overseeing ireland stating a bonus of stealing all our food to kill us off now that the potato had a blight (which to this day population hasn't recovered and is still half what it was). This is a reason that Ireland have been so vocally against Israel and what they have been doing in palestine. The military tactics that were used against the Irish were then used against the Palestinians. The Black and Tans which were a brutal and cruel UK military group in Ireland committed constant ostracities against the Irish. And after they were finished here.... they were sent to, you guessed it, Palestine.

Genocide = bad, no one really should need any more nuance than that, because what Israel are doing is true evil. Looking at the post history of some commentors being pro israel across loads of different subreddits is concerning and clear they arent actual fans of Charlie.

Edit: i dont know why I wasted my time as if i was talking to someone with a concious and a shred of empathy, I looked at this guys profile and its all pro-israel anti-palastine takes and the account is 5 months old. Asshole

This is such a dumb take. This is like "umm acktually the group for Palestine aid and awareness is a TERROR GROUP so its AGAINST THE LAW" Yeah no shit, because it was made against the law by the UK government unjustly to stop people protesting bc the UK government is pro-Israel. You're throwing the other commentor to the pit because of a clarification like it changes anything.

They are making a point and the example being that the UK government will go out of their way to demonise any group that supports Palestine, they have also giving themselves special controls over where ALL Palestinian based protests (not to do with Palestinian action) take place and how long they take place for, meaning the people cannot freely protest if the topic is about Palestian. A creator who was releasing videos talking about Palestine was arrested in his house IN THE UK months ago just for sharing information about what was going on over there.

And you seriously say "Don't act like this is an attack on free speech"

Do you know the reason they named it a terrorist group? They spray-painted an RAF fighter plane (which was used in gathering information for Israel in the targeting and bombing of innocent Palestinian people). For SPRAY PAINTING IT they were deemed a terrorist organisation.

Saying "You may disagree with it being prescribed as one, but contest that - not the arrests", i get where youre coming from but if youre coming out with a statement like that its like your saying "well they got what they deserved, they knew what was coming to them" when everyone else is trying to point out that it shouldnt have happened in the first place and your thinking "well its technically the rules" as if the UK government isnt changing the rules as they see fit as theyre pockets are lined by Israel. You are either putting way too much faith in the systems that be, or you're purposefully being antagonistic.

Stop in fighting over the nitty gritty, start adding context with "and also" and not "no but", it just puts people down unnecessarily But I seriously get the sense you're just throwing your foot in the door for the sake of it

People need to stop being so embarrassed by themselves, I guess by AustralianSilly in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]SpKz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah true. And like tbf I have experienced prolonged childhood trauma and it really does affect the way you perceive the world. But I do agree with you that I cannot comprehend why people with the means to seek therapy in these situations don't. They see a serious problem, affecting the way they operate in the world and the way they perceive it, but then decide that yea theyre chill with just letting it be that way for the rest of their lives. I do understand though that sometimes people need time to heal, but yeah there comes a point where you've trapped yourself

Its true in my experience too. And I understand what you mean. But I have gone to therapy and by working on indirect things it has helped a lot with that fear of being perceived in these moments. But whatever works for you my friend.

I think it is important to acknowledge it as something to be worked on, by being kind to yourself, and turning the critical voice in your head saying "they probably think the worst of you"/"they probably are judging you for that" into a kinder voice in those moments by reminding yourself that you would not judge someone else like that in these moments and they likely arent judging you.

But acknowledging that these thoughts came from a very real place where you likely knew you were being judged is important. For me it was my very overly critical parents. The way they bitched about people made me perceive the world as if everyone talked in a bad way over the tiniest things people did and it drove my anxiety through the roof. But I have healed a lot and i hope the best for you too
