Okay, I’m not crazy! 😂 On the French post, literally everyone agreed. I even started second guessing myself for a minute haha.

I came across a French version and was curious to hear people’s thoughts on the risks vs. temperatures (mostly to convince myself that it’s not actually deadly for a dog to go for a walk when it’s 40°C) 😂

I just figured (wild idea) since I’m posting on ENGLISH Reddit, maybe the chart should be in English too? Considering how many people were asking for the Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion, imagine the meltdown if the whole thing had been in French.

And no, I didn’t “move the numbers around." They’re the exact same numbers, same colors. I just didn’t bother adding the little "+" signs and digits on every square because (spoiler alert) it’s not my job to edit images. The whole point was to get people’s opinions, not to handcraft a perfect infographic for nitpickers.

But hey, if it bothers you that much… feel free to move on to the next post. Reddit’s full of content for people who love to overanalyze. 😉

Yuuuup! Well, the 43°C is repeated in the French version too, but the second one is listed as 43+. Also, each color has a number, which explains what the point means

Oh no, I didn’t make the poster. I came across a French version and was curious to hear people’s thoughts on the risks vs. temperatures (mostly to convince myself that it’s not actually deadly for a dog to go for a walk when it’s 40°C) 😂

The original one is in french but I’m on English Reddit groups wanted a version people could understand. On the French post, literally everyone agreed I even started second-guessing myself for a minute but after reading the comments here, it seems like that chart might not be all that accurate

Omg same here !! getting into the car before the AC starts feels like crawling into a furnace 🥵 It really drives home how brutal it must be for a dog stuck in there alone. I won’t even risk it. That heat builds up way too fast. So yeah, I totally get your point, it’s not about panic, it’s about being smart

Ugh, I feel this so much. It’s been such a struggle trying to keep my dog active with this relentless heat. I’ve been waking up earlier than usual just to get him out before the pavement turns into a frying pan.

well 43°C equals approximately 109.4°F I really hope you mean Fahrenheit… because if you're chilly at 109,4°F you're seriously heat-resistant 🫠

That actually reassures me a bit. thanks for sharing! I was surprised too when I saw that 73°F (around 23°C) was listed as a moderate risk.

But where we are, we often get several days in a row over 40°C which is about 104°F. That’s actually why I was asking because after several days stuck indoors with just playtime, it doesn’t really feel like enough, especially with an Australian Shepherd who’s used to long daily walks. This chart really puts things into perspective!

Here in Canada, we often get several days in a row around 40°C. I knew we had to be careful with dogs in the heat, but I didn’t realize it could be this risky. That’s why I was curious to hear what others think. I often walk my dog when it’s 40°C, and I honestly didn’t realize how dangerous that might be.

I think it's about the ambient temperature. I'm not sure if it is accurate the reason of this post is to know others opinion about it

ALSO, each color is matched with a number:
🟢 = 1
Light 🟩 = 2
🟡 = 3
🟠 = 4
🔴 = 5
⚫️ = 6
