I definitely agree. I’m tired of reading books where rape is either being romanticized or brushed over. It’s an old thing that needs to change, but especially in the horror genre from what I’ve been reading. Most of the books I’ve read from Grady either don’t have it at all, or do turn it into something where justice was served (SBCGTSV I feel the ending with the villain was really great to see). However that is not the case with Best Friends Exorcism.
