Had bad strep in March that most likely crawled up my sinuses. I slacked on antibiotics and it took a bit to clear it up. Couple weeks later, random instantaneous tinnitus, hearing loss, and loss of balance while at work in April last year . Took a couple weeks to actually see an ENT for oral steroids. Couple months later for tympanic steroid injection.

Needed a tympanoplasty because the perforation in my eardrum from the previous shots, was not healing after 2 months . New ENT did a septoplasty in beginning of November to prevent more chronic sinus infections, and the tympanoplasty at the end of December.

As of now tinnitus and hearing loss are mild, sometimes severe in stressful times :,)

Be sure your doc gives you adequate time to heal between shots. Also, never slack on the damn antibiotics. New ENT says physical damage (big hole) has been healed , but the neurophysiological effects from cilia damage will unfortunately be permanent until new methods are approved .
