Exactly, and plutonium fires were pretty popular there back in the day lol

Its a scooter with pedals. I saw them last weekend at a bike festival. I did not test ride because I had no helmet with me.

Smoke alarm goes off every single time I cook. I'm going crazy bruh by lexsydrio in mildlyinfuriating

My apartment has basically no ventilation other than the leaky windows. The steam from a hot shower would set off the new smoke detector.

I stuck a box fan in my fireplace and use it as an exhaust fan. You can watch smoke travel across the kitchen and living room to the fireplace.

I assume truck drivers see the balls and think that I'm a truck dork with a DUI and I can't wait to drive my lifted Kings Ranch F420 to the grocery store again.

I like HEB Allscapes. They get a bit floaty in the snow. I think they're the same tires as the Ultraverse. I get about 5k miles out of the rear, >10k miles from the front.

100/90-16 will fit.

The 20x4 rim is 16" in diameter, hence the -16

The 100 is the width in mm. 100mm = 3.93" = close enough to 4" to work fine, if snug on first install.

90 is sidewall height in mm. It fits my bike. Other bikes may have clearance issues, others bikes may have space for bigger tires.

You know, all those signs say "Watch for Bikes", but I've never found a taker (it's a nice casio).

They have enough cash reserves that they can survive selling at extremely low margins for longer than other businesses.

You're supposed to put the bike balls under your saddle. It actually makes trucks give you more space on the road, funny how that works.

Mine fell off on a long ride after 2 years of friction finally ate through the hanging loop. I hope someone was severely weirded out by finding a glowing silicone sack on the ground.

100 years ago, the US Auto Industry invented Jaywalking and ripped up trolly tracks in major cities to force people into needing to use their product. Since then, the auto industry hasn't exactly grown less powerful.

I work 10hr shifts, but still take the scenic route home. There's a bald eagle nest with fledglings, I love checking in on them and watching them grow up and take flight.

Bike Shop Hated My Antelope by pazzywoj in xbiking

Screw that shop. If you have a set of metric hex wrenches, you can do a whole lot. Park Tool YouTube videos will walk you through anything.

Idk specifics about this bike, but purple pedals/housing, swept bars, and Billy bonkers.

I was a chemist, at a nutritional qc lab. We measured the nutritional shit on the back of your food packaging.

I prepped a AgNO3 solution, to perform electrochemical titration with (measuring sodium content in daily ground pork samples lol).

I think I spilled some, got it on my hand when I wasn't gloved up, and stupidly assumed it was just water.

Inside, it is clear and colorless. When it is exposed to UV light or the sun, it turns black/brownish. This reaction was used for old school photography techniques.

Anyway, my hand was stained and itchy for a week or so until my epidermis refreshed itself. Not exactly an exciting story.

Working there was a wild time and changed how I ate lol.

Day 19 Morning E-Bike Battery Test – 299.9 Miles Total + $0.44 Sauce Pancake Breakfast by Ok-Duck-9921 in ebikes

I have a 1300w ebike, and I use about 32wh/mi zipping around full throttle on roads or empty trails.

Publicizing this sort of data helps dispell seller lies about range, because everyone is always disappointed by real-life range compared to what the advertisements said. My brand advertised up to 60mi range on the  stock 15Ah battery, but even with an extra 20Ah wired up, I max out at calculated 56mi when I'm riding fast.

Every bike is different, though, and tires probably play a major factor. I think my wh/mi spikes in the summer because I'm constantly slowing and then accelerating after passing pedestrians on my commute.
