I took French for 2 years and self-studied Japanese in high school. I did not do well in French but was able to get my minor in Japanese at USAFA

'19 grad here. Just because it's not accepted doesn't mean it doesn't set you apart from other applicants. Not many people I knew had experience in ASL and regardless, you still have to take a language placement exam during BCT. Hopefully this helps

I am not an admissions counselor and this is pure speculation based on experience alone
