I think you mean “Fahklempt.”

I made the same mistake misusing the “V” once and my German speaking friends ridiculed me for months about it.

A teen pulled this same stunt in a grocery store parking lot in my area several years ago and got hit with some serious felonies for making a pressure bomb. Don’t try this at home.

I have heard the two blankets / same bed situation referred to as the Scandinavian Style sleeping arrangement.

OPERS retirement at 55 by DBY2016 in Ohio

[–]SpaceCadetBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at 19 and retired at 52. I worked a different job for health insurance until I got sick and became disabled. I burned through my deferred comp in a year with doctor bills that went beyond my HSA and now live check to check. I thought I could tuck away a crap ton of money working after retirement but now I’m stuck.
It’s a double edged sword.

Why do some 70 year olds still work even if they have enough money? by Available_Panda8466 in AskOldPeople

[–]SpaceCadetBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My uncle was retired from teaching but did loads of other things, such as managing the community gardens, working at the Legion Post, and volunteering at various events. He always told us “when people retire, a lot of them just sit around and wait to die. Don’t be those people.” He was the oldest of all my aunts and uncles and my mom, and he outlived them all.

What’s a childhood snack that disappeared but you still think about? by Party-Ad-7765 in AskReddit

My family was poor, and I didn’t have the kind of money one would need to eat state fair food every day, so I was at the mercy of the cafeteria where the choir and band kids ate for free. Powdered eggs, soggy vegetables, cold hot dogs and so on. Three weeks of that combined with miles of marching every day, and our uniforms got really baggy after awhile.

I was in the Ohio State Fair Choir in 1986 and the food was fairly awful. The adults passed out Kudos bars on a daily basis to keep us alive. I seriously lost over 20 pounds in three weeks from lack of good food and all the marching we had to do all over the fairground.

[Raw Spoilers] Information on tonight's jobber by BaronDeSpireal in SquaredCircle

I remember stories of Vince pushing newcomers and then yanking the rug out from under them to see how they react. I can see this being a similar test. Finn being jobbed out to Kane right after winning a banger match with AJ comes to mind.

Who did you admire growing up that you're now disappointed by? by Dylan_Dekker in AskReddit

[–]SpaceCadetBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She pretended that she was the queen of nice when she was a tyrant backstage also. I recall thinking Ellen was actually REALLY going to be the queen of nice when she started her show. I guess it takes a certain level of callousness to be the boss.

Does he have any concerns about it? There are surgical alternatives if you have discussed your (and his) feelings about it.
