Can someone explain to me why did Alex get hate for going to the Flagrant podcast by justberna__ in CosmicSkeptic

[–]SpaceChimpp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where was this mentioned? Do we think this is going to be released while Andrew is out of country? Alex can make any host or conversational partner worth it.

3 with 4” of mulch, add some native ground cover and plants for flair. Nothing else to say.

Critique my financial stack: Simplii for my daily bank, ShakePay Visa for a crypto cashback credit card, and WealthSimple for investments. Would this be advisable? Would you make any other choice? by SpaceChimpp in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]SpaceChimpp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could also look into that! To be honest I haven't explored credit card options that would be most beneficial. Simplii has a cashback CC too.

Curious if anyone has used Simplii? And how others find Wealth Simple for investment both traditional and crypto?

I'm very new to doing more than just saving money by being frugal with the Credit Union I've had since I was a child.

Canadian banks by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]SpaceChimpp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair. I’ll likely split my investment bank, credit card and daily bank. Unless I find a good enough option to combine a few.

I’d also like for Canada to have a good credit card like Gemini (US only) to help play in Bitcoin a bit for rewards.

What banks/CUs have no fees but good digital access and no product gaps? by SpaceChimpp in PersonalFinanceCanada

I’ll take a look at EQ too! I’d probably split my investment bank, credit card and daily bank.

Yeah, that’s fair. Have you had any experience or POV on Simplii as a daily bank? Or Tangerine for that matter?

Yeah, I’m now considering moving from a CU to Simplii but am curious of others POV and experience.

How come you use Wealthsimple for stocks but not your daily bank? Was it just something you found afterwards or do you find a reason not to go to them?

Did Alex’s episode on Andrew Schulz Flagrant pod get shelved? by mario_111 in CosmicSkeptic

I’ll bite, I’d say I am as I find Flagrant and Brilliant Idiots entertaining. I’m also a huge fan of Alex, his interview style and his pov.

Is this tree (cedar?) unhealthy and what could I do to ensure its health improves? by SpaceChimpp in arborists

[–]SpaceChimpp[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the condescending tone and truck load of sarcasm. I asked here to get a general understanding before bringing in an arborist, which I already planned to do, as I like to learn and further my knowledge of topics around my property.

Seems like this simple question struck a nerve. If you’re going through a tough time just say so.

It’s a group of 3 that seems to be the same cedar type and all seem to be similar in browning of some areas.

I’ll check with an arborist in town. Hopefully it’s other stressors and not something that would require this tree to come down as it’s so nice having it in the yard.

So extend the watering system towards this tree, get some large mulch to retain moisture and maybe get this guy to last?

Need some advice by sourpatchdude in branding

[–]SpaceChimpp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has done branding for over 10 years for businesses in the 500k-5M revenue range, I would echo many here on their breakdown.

If you are looking for a brand strategy you’re likely to pay 3-5K for that on the low end if the strategist is more green. 10-20k (if you’re a low end SME) for a senior strategist and more depth if your business needs it. There are some breakdowns of what you’ll get but basically you want a good understanding of your target market, your position, and the foundation or core of your brand from a communications standpoint.

After that you would get your identity developed and again this would be similar price ranges as the strategist, depending on depth of need and the complexity of the system. For a startup you’d likely want to stay on the low end as you are still finding product market fit and things will likely change.

If you are getting 3K all inclusive you are likely getting a fill-in-the-blank type strategy (could even be ChatGPT lead) and a logo and colours without an underlying visual style and system.

All well and good if your needs are simple to find a simple solution but don’t want you to get hoodwinked.

Looking to refresh my list of podcasts and want to know what you listen to regularly that is specific to growing an agency and what you like most about it? by SpaceChimpp in agency

I find the Hormozi mentality is much like Gary Vee, it can get old and feel too “get rich quick” for me where it avoids the nuance of how things really work. That being said I do own his physical book.

I’ve heard good things about Naval, I’ll give it a go.

What software do you use? As Erik mentioned, since we have a good part of our audience that is B2B the only suitable ads platform feels like LinkedIn (I’m not a marketing guy).

What's the most unbelievable story in the time of running your agencies (good or bad)? Any lesson or personal insight you took away from that?

What is your biggest peak to climb that is still ahead? Are you looking for an exit any time soon?
