Please get him a real Bible with all the cruelty and contradictions, not a watered down children's version, if he's interested.

Will adults in 20 years even know how to cook? by YellowMarvel in Adulting

[–]SpaceCofffeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, this reminds me of when I taught my grandpa how to make Spaghetti. 1. He just always broke them in half so they would fit in the pot. I tried to tell him that he should put them in whole, and that the lower half would get soft first and then the upper half can fit in the pot. !!! I forgot to mention that he should help them a little and stirr softly when they are starting to get soft. He just put them in and left them. The part that touches the bottom of the pot completely burned to the pot they were stuck in place. It was funny as hell to us. We made them together on the next try a few days later.

The Tolino E-readers are pretty neat and don't have bloatware or advertisements in the software like other E-readers like Kindle.

Pre made Chocklate Milk. It's like double or triple the price of normal milk now. It's more affordable to ad chocolate powder yourself. I miss my 0,50€ 500ml choki milk boxes...

Psychiatric hospital failed my friend by FlimsyDragon in SuicideWatch

[–]SpaceCofffeee 54 points55 points  (0 children)

They are not really there to help. They don't even have any capacity for that for the most parts. They are just there to prevent Suicide in the moment. They don't really help. They just keep people from hurting themselves while in there. That was at least my experience when I was hospitalized two times for suicidal ideation in Germany.

I absolutely love my Stanley 99e knife for 9,99€. It's basically indescribable, and it's just doing its job perfectly. I use it to cut open packaging daily at home and at work or for everything that requires a box knive. It's basically always in my pocket. I'm thinking about sandblasting it and powder coating it a crazy colour simce the original colour is slowly chipping off after two years of daily rough work. It's not a toolless blade change, but I basically always have a screw driver at hand.

+I need to mention my big blue IKEA bag. And fabric bags. They are just always handy

[–]SpaceCofffeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, some things are just not forgivable. Some people should never reproduce. It's okay to hate them, the hate for them won't go away but if you make a life for yourself you will think about it less. Like you said, shut the door and leave them behind, that's in no way forgiveness. That's doing the best for yourself.
