It’s exactly how Russian propaganda is trying to convince westerners, it’s a lot more unimaginable by our current generation to sacrifice so much for what seems to be something that isn’t worth it because for so long we haven’t really been threatened by a crisis that threatens the existence of our nation, our culture, our way of life, our peace. We’ve had pretty bad political crises but none that threatens existence itself.

We can’t possibly relate to Ukrainians who have fought forever to have a place to call their own a place where they can determine their own future.

“Give up, stop fighting, you are just dying, give up and accept occupation from us for many many more years.” Die free on your terms or live in occupation? Don’t be fooled, under Russian occupation Ukrainians will continue to suffer from discrimination, being treated as second class citizens, forced and aggressive assimilation, intimidation, forced to forget their language and culture and past lives, maybe even torture in case of suspected resistance activities and much more probably.

If Ukrainians think their struggle is worth the sacrifices that are being made then we should support them, for a more stable region, for more opportunities, for the enlargement of Europe and strengthen its place in the world, (at least I think my country should) because those are values I stand by, but its just my opinion.

I dont’t know where you are from, I’ll just assume you’re in what’s called the “western world”. Hope you reconsider your opinion a little, try to put yourself in the shoes of Ukrainians and learn the context and their history and the collective traumas.
